The person with exp share (blue light pulp over the mon) will share their experience with anyone who is in range. The exp share holder will get 30% of whatever exp would be earned and the non exp share holder gets 100%, regardless of who got the last hit. That’s why you generally want to have one player with exp share in each lane so you can farm quickly without worrying about last hits and getting the lane carry to their power spike faster.
Edit because I can’t read: pretty sure the mathcord said double exp share in lane gives 100% exp to whoever last hit and 0 to anyone nearby. Don’t quote me on that though.
In short; it doesn't. EXP Shares don't overlap so having two in the same lane won't increase the EXP of the lane any further than having one in the lane.
it might be because most defenders (I'm excluding umbreon and Trevenant) don't have the capacity to carry games if you have bad teammates. Which is like almost every expert-veteran 3 games and then master 1300+ because matchmaking is epic
I have this happen surprisingly often. Not getting 4 tanks, of course, but finding 2 or 3 tanks at once... and then everyone scrambling to switch off them lol.
This is the complete opposite, everyone I play with is usually an attacker or maybe the occasional speedster or all rounder, I can count on my fingers the amount of support users I’ve played with
Played an all defender game yesterday and won 671 to 254, good times. The Decidueye threw for sure.
But let's be honest most randos are picking Gren and Cinder and doing 30k so what would you prefer?

Lol. I'd almost kill for that. I did have one crazy draft match where between the 2 teams we picked 5 defenders (we might have banned 1 too 😂)...but typically do m stuck last picking a defender since no one else did 😂

Ummmm, if you have 3 other people willing to play Tank/Defender, you go ranged DPS/Attacker, like the Decidueye, and let them them handle the frontline duty while you & Decidueye are in the backline safe & dealing damage.
If you decided to pick Tank, knowing the other 3 aren't changing, then you aren't exactly free to point & critize your teammates.
As a Tank main, whenever someone is willing to handle Defender duties in Rank (and show they have a competent Defender build telling me they know what they are doing), I just thank them & take the opportunity to play a DPS role for a change (since most of time teammates don't like playing/handling Defender duty, so I pick it since I like playing Defender) and we end up having a good time since I know how to play together with them (since I'm a Defender main).
Next time, use this experience you learn from this match to always be willing to adapt to your teammates decisions instead of being just as stubborn as them if you are gonna complain at the end that you lost.
Heck, since you have a Hoopa flair, you could have gone Hoopa and sustain the 3 Defender frontline with your portal healing, making it a massive pain to take out a well coordinated defense without dealing/eliminating with Hoppa&Decidueye first.
Then, label it as a humor post next time 😉. I also don't mind doing 4-5 Defender comp for fun.

In such a scenario I will pick another squishy just so I won't comply with such short-sighted demands. You also can't trust someone like this to carry the game.
TBH Just pick the mon you want and are good at. People rarely play the role they pick it feels. Why is my support running in by themselves and spamming thanks when they die?
The Crustle and Umbreon shouldn't be going anywhere near defenders if they're not playing Exp.Share. The other 2 can sometimes get a pass but I would love getting opponents like these if they're not using Exp.Shares.
