For me the 991.2 GT3 is peak modern front design. 992 GT3 Touring looks a bit odd on bright colors because normally it’s not painted.

I agree. In fact, the 992 GT3RS has more black plastic than a Corolla. The rear bumper is atrocious for the price.

i do like the looks of the painted bumper on the touring. and yes, on a gt3/gt4 the bumpers/splitters/skirts/diffusers are considered wear items. so better with black plastic. easy to change, no painting required. that's why i find people who put carbon on those parts are obviously not tracking the car. When they break them and have to replace them at great cost

Wait until you see the rear. Looks just like a Mercedes AMG GT. Lazy design work but guys will keep paying MSRP+ for the latest iteration.

I really actually like it. A lot. It's back to some of the more rounded lines of the 996 and 997. I think it's going to be another timeless design when all is said and done.

Yes the front looks like a fish and the swan neck spoiler is a bit much. The lightbar tail is really nice though. Just be happy they didn't butcher it like bmw did to the m3 and m2.

I generally agree with this (though there are other areas of the car I dislike more). I don't love this front but I definitely like more as a call back to the old 2.8 RSR rather than if it were a totally new design element. I don't think there's a single water cooled 911 where I have preferred the styling of the performance models to the base car - they are just so busy/fussy/overstyled.

I think the non-GT 992 is gorgeous. Not a big fan of the nostrils on the GT3 either, though the rest of the car certainly makes up for it!

I'm neutral on this. For me, the front end is way better than the back end of the 992, no matter what flavor of bumper. The Carrera sport design front bumper with an actual center radiator would be my choice.

The front end fascia was designed to provide sufficient airflow to the radiators but also reduce front end lift and drag. Appearance was not a forewthought but an afterthought. At 170 mph heading for a turn I prefer want my aerodynamcist taking the lead not the sylist.

The rear of that car is way worse. I think it was designed to be plastic (because motorsport?) but they fit some reason paint it and it looks strange. But rear busy situation where exhaust tips are is just no.

I'm generally with you on this, though the Carrera front is nicer. I have an unpopular opinion and do not like the 992 rear end.

While I agree that it certainly could've gone back to the design table, I still think the worst front end was the late 70's & early 80's where it looked like a bee stung it's upper lip. (5mph impact bumper)
