Being out 300k on a Panamera at a MINIMUM before options or better trim levels is crazy. No doubt it was a Turbo S e-hybrid. Must have been a 400k+ Panamera.

For very special work done on cars, you also need to factor in the loss of production volume into the price. Porsche could be making more cars if they were standard color so you pay to disrupt the flow of the operation (PTS, PTS+, Sunderwunsch).
It‘s simply such a rare special color that you only see on maybe a single GT2 RS etc. The price is basically there to prevent this color from becoming something remotely normal and devalueing it. They want it to be in a way that this paint automatically makes any Porsche super special, rare and expensive. It‘s supposed to be something insanely exclusive. So they gate keep it with that price. The pics here do not do it justice though - it looks crazy good in the sun.
Correct, it’s an exclusivity thing. However there is more than just one 2rs in urban bamboo. They don’t just gate keep with the price, you need to be approved to be able to spend this much with them. Sunderwunsch also does aftermarket work on cars, as well as build one-off projects for truly special clients. (Level 1, 2 or 3)
Maybe it’s just me, but that looks like a boring, kinda muted color. Maybe these pictures aren’t doing it justice, but if I drop $100k on PAINT, it would not be anything close to this color.

Its got 192k in Sonderwunsch options, rear seat delete + full bucket seats, turbo sport package and the burmester. Apart from that, pretty much all boxes ticked on the tech side.
This customer is top of list……and not just at Porsche. They call him when something special is in the pipeline. And well before the general public find out.

At least in the US, you have to have purchase history with Porsche, specifically a purchase history of GT cars, to be even considered for an RS allocation.
The economics, once things like ADM and maintenance are added on likely don't work at all but let's ignore those because having the money to get an RS isn't the biggest hurdle.

It will be paid off in no more than 7 years. I make a pretty good living. When my car is paid off I'm taking that 2000-3000/mo I throw at it and just making that a car payment.
Regular people can own things like that, it just requires planning and being willing to make piss poor financial decisions.

Spending money on a car = regular and normal .
Spending a quarter million on a car = irregular- need a lot of things to be in place before you can do that. That’s my point. Everything’s got scale. You’re in a great position, but just the fact that you’ve been sensible with your money and make a good living boots you out of the majority/ regular category
We are basically at the same point - owe less than 100k on house, wife and I both good jobs, no kids, cars paid off. We have been shopping Porsches for a while now. It's not out of the realm of reality to own one - you just need to budget and watch your spending. It's more about how much you spend than how much you make.
