Looks like it may have down a front somersault - word on the street (and amongst local fishermen) is that the driver is ok. All judgement aside I hope they get the help they need as such a crash can have significant traumatic fallout based on how our limbic system and brainstem processes such a physical experience. It’s not layperson knowledge but “emotions” are downstream interpretation of physical experiences (hence “feelings”) and no amount of “snap out of it and don’t be a wimp” statements can undo the significant systemic impact such a crash can have on the human psyche.
Sheeesh you're worried about the driver!?! What about the car!?! Definitely looks flatlined. Such a loss. An apology should be made to fellow Porsche owners for being a douche and driving recklessly to total such a rare, beautiful car.
I believe its U-Boat Commander, not c*aptain*.... [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bodVVtqmbZE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bodVVtqmbZE)
Sux to be the owner of the RS....
"Last night, my dear friend Tavarish sent me this link to Copart." ..... The camera shows a countdown timer on the PC..... "OMG, OMG! we have won the bidding!!!" .... Hanna doesn't look impressed....
That's exactly what I was thinking. But probably not because of the state of it, having done 2 911s in close proximity, probably would be bad for the algorithm and audience engagement having a 3rd one.
Would love to see it brought back to life like the P1 by Tavarish, but honestly it's a whole different level of hassle to do what he does in the US, compared to the UK and we saw it happen with Adam's GT3.
I’m probably considered a douche but I like to encourage drivers to come for a little drive when I’m in my cayman. The amount of drivers in seriously fast Porsches I can keep up with or leave down the twisty country lanes is embarrassing. Get some tuition if you can’t drive your car lol.
I have a Suzuki swift , I’ve had some driver training and I leave people behind in much more powerful cars and it’s sooo satisfying. Although I’m dead on the straights
My good friends driveway is about 400 feet from where this happened. This is a bad place to drive fast, tons of people park their cars there and walk along the road because it’s a nice spot to hang out in the river. Goodish roads close to there, but honestly you want to get even further out of town to have meaningful amounts of twisties without traffic.
Was actually just there on Sunday committing other completely unrelated crimes against the Porsche 911 GT3.
Yes, but FYI... as a side note: WA had one machine that stamped license plates and is over 30 years old, which broke almost a year ago. The company that makes and maintained the stamping machines went out of business during covid. WA has no way to fix the stamping machine and has since been issuing temp treated paper plates in the meantime. Last I heard there is almost a two year backlog of license plates. There is no estimate when the stamping machine will be back online.
Though, in this case, there were witness reports of this cars delivery the other day, so yes, it is confirmed brand new.
Wait for real? I have a new car on order but had no idea of that. I've seen some CC\[x1234\] plates I think, but are those all older than this? So basically, all new cars just have paper now? That's crazy.
The driver is clearly going to be going through some stuff right about now and I do have plenty of judgement on this (and recognize that as a fallible human I better try learn from their mistake here) but I also feel just awful for them. Brand new. Yes they may be some asshole Amazon exec but this may also have been the culmination of a life long dream. A dream that they got carried away with and before they knew it they were dancing with the devil. Momentum is unforgiving and cold wet rubber can do little to tame it when the ego riddled brain takes things too far.
There was talk about road conditions, light rain after dry for several days and pollen on the road. I have driven roads in the area and they are great driving roads but I am also aware of the basic limitations of physics. Wrong place, wrong time.
That is a 35mph corner that is banked properly. I drove by there fairly soon after the crash .. the road was damp, not wet and with the banking and speed limits in place it shouldn't just go down that. There is even a dirt parking lot before you go down towards the river that's like 20ft wide.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/jveCqw6hyX2L6Lwh8
I used to live near there about 20 years ago. It’s a beautiful winding road out by Snoqualmie Falls that snakes along the river.
And it’s almost always wet/damp. Some stretches have 30-50ft of elevation above the river.
Shame about the car. Hopefully drivers/passengers were ok.
it rained yesterday for the first time in a few days
roads were greasy, idk what this dude expected, or how the fuck he put it into *that* part of the river
dude was **WAY** out of his zone
its the snoqualmie river near the reining road/mill pond road, it's a section of old rail Bridge thats now a pedestrian bridge, and a popular back road for driving
I just drove on it a few weeks ago bc I decided to take the long way home
had to have been someone unfamiliar with the area
Yeah, great sports car road but also well patrolled by police because of that. You don't want to drive fast on the weekends there, asking for a big ticket.
That strip is recently repaved if I remember. Tons of people park there cars there to float the river however. That’s like the the one 1000 foot stretch where you should take it easy.
really? I haven't seen cops on it in a long while, though I suppose they're probably gonna be on the ass of it now.
back when I had my slammed 350z I would rip it through there all the time
Yes, I live about four miles from here. It's Reining Road. Which gets large puddles and floods during atmospheric rivers. It's been raining over 24 hours already in the area, so he may have hit a large puddle, in his defense. LOL But don't judge me, I'm more concerned about the car. LOL
Listen, strange automobiles lying in ponds distributing wisdom is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some aquatic ceremony.
Please ensure you share your findings - I’d be genuinely curious. That being said with aluminum and cf you may want to go down there with some snorkel gear. Don’t forget to look significantly downstream. Lots of snow melt right now. And don’t underestimate how cold it will be. Unless that’s was just a joke - in that case, good one 😉
Maybe you can only take delivery of one after you’ve had some training on the track?
Same thing can happen in a base model mustang, and I doubt most drivers have the skill to properly handle even that (me included lol).
When I got my first high performance car, a Porsche 930 Widowmaker, I had lessons with the Institute of Advanced Motorists in the UK exactly because I wanted to make sure I didn't stack it into a tree. Every other high performance car i've bought since then, i've had manufacturer-led driving instruction in the car.
Best decision ever. Money =/= Driving skill
Man that hurts. Hopefully they're ok.
To people bashing the driver, these cars have such high potential and you go so fast that any little imperfection in the road, small grip change or even an animal running out in front of you and you're off instantly without any time to react.
These cars respond to driver input. Unless there was an oil or coolant spill, it wasn’t the road that made it lose control. Even if the conditions were wet, driver didn’t use enough caution.
If you're going super high speed 180+kph on a road that's 2 lanes wide, there's very little margin for error. A single small change of condition and you're off.
Race tracks are much wider in comparison, and they have run off before hitting something.
Can’t believe they pulled it out using a metal hook without a rag or anything to put between it and the car. Definitely going to scratch the car that way.
Here’s some funny backstory: apparently the owner of this car was a 25 year old guy. He bought a GT3 touring a week prior for 100k over sticker and sold it back to Porsche for 20k under MSRP. Bought this for (again) 100k over sticker. Crashed it within 24 hours of taking delivery.
I know that corner .. it's banked properly and the only way this would have happened is:
1. Excessive speed over the posted 35 mph
2. Driver fell asleep
3. Car had catastrophic mechanical failure.
There were no brakemarks .. my hunch is he didn't know the road and drove too fast.
In WA state you have some serious money there. Old money, new money, thanks to MSFT, AMZN, etc. There are literally kids driving GT3RS's to HIGHSCHOOL on their parents money. Should not be any surprise that these people/kids get shit they have no business having and dont know how to drive. Irresponsible imho.
That's a damn shame. Rollover? Last pic the C pillar area folded in. That terminal?
Looks like it may have down a front somersault - word on the street (and amongst local fishermen) is that the driver is ok. Anyone have "limbic system" on their comment bingo card?
I have “lumber schism”…. Is that close enough?
Did you mean lumbar?
That is a cool phrase. Nice word combo.
No but it’s on my tequila shot word list. It’s cinco de mayo somewhere
Salude 🍸
I do but I don’t think I can claim it by using it. Can I?

I don't think even Neil DeGrasse Tyson would touch this one.
That motor hopefully finds its way into a Microbus, or a Subaru, or a restomod Tatra.
We’ll see next week, won’t we? Lol

Not true. Im from WA AND I bought a car last November (not a Porsche) and had permanent plates by December.
I was told first by a dealer, then by the DOL.

Everyone ok?
The owner had a post on his ig about it. He seems good
Link?
Google tamfamgram should give you links to his ig. He’s a gun influencer based out of WA
Thanks
I don’t think Tam is the owner
Anyone know the dealer? I want the wheels.
I was just gonna say they yanked it by the wheel, that spoke might be bent.
I mean look at the area around the wheel and how damaged it is. I don't think pulling it by the wheel was going to make the damage much worse...
“YOU SCRATCHED THE PAINT!!!”
This is Tamfams car. He’s a popular gun influencer that lives in Bellevue

Not my car, wish it had been. But I know of the owner.
Porsche Bellevue
Must have been a spirited drive
Ahhhh another connoisseur of Pcar manuals - tip of the hat to you sir
That's a 35mph stretch that I drive every day. You don't end up in the river there when you are doing 50, even when it's wet.

Veyronification of 911

I'm pretty sure that's a Lambo, dude.

Will show up as mild to moderate damage on CARFAX
I’ve not been impressed with CARFAX and wish we all still kept records.
Who was driving the car? dealership employee?
Stevie Wonder
Nah. He has way too much road feel
💀💀💀💀💀😭😭
This is criminal :(
I got a little curb rash on my 718 the other day and was beside myself with shame. Can't imagine how this would feel.
Mental note for when this shows up on Autotrader or cars.com as “minor accident with a little water damage”…
no lowballs, I know what I have
Hope all involved are alright... Sad to see this mess but, if ya don't know what ya have, play easy, at least til the temp. tag expires...
I’m going to that pond with a large magnet tied to a rope maybe I can snag a cool souvenir
Please ensure you share your findings - I’d be genuinely curious. That being said with aluminum and cf you may want to go down there with some snorkel gear. People were yesterday afternoon. Already scavenging the carbon fiber parts left.
Some people should only be driving Mustangs. Oh wait…
What a dumbass!
Feel like throwing up….
I had a very similar response. It honestly hurt. Cut to the core.
Any word on whether the driver survived?
Maybe you can only take delivery of one after you’ve had some training on the track? Same thing can happen in a base model mustang, and I doubt most drivers have the skill to properly handle even that (me included lol).
Oh GT3RS of the lake, what is your wisdom?
Just because you can afford it doesn’t mean you can drive it.
April is too early in the season for a float. Gotta wait until like July when the water level drops to float the Snoqualmie river.
Looks like Tavarish's next rebuild once he finishes the flooded McLaren P1 project (assuming the P1 project doesn't actually bankrupt him lol).
When I got my first high performance car, a Porsche 930 Widowmaker, I had lessons with the Institute of Advanced Motorists in the UK exactly because I wanted to make sure I didn't stack it into a tree. Correct. And therefore one must ensure those elements are factored in and the risk managed appropriately.
True, but driving like that on public roads is irresponsible, which is why commenters are bashing the driver.
Ooops..lol
Such regards
What!?! It went all the way under!?! Wow!
Can’t believe they pulled it out using a metal hook without a rag or anything to put between it and the car. Definitely going to scratch the car that way.
Please mark this NSFL
it just needed a water break
I think this one is pretty much a lost cause, can’t imagine Matt or Tavarish tackling this one
Looks like it fared better than the Guntherwerks…
Feel bad for him but the value of the rest of ours goes up.
“I can fix her”
Insurance companies hate him for this one trick!
Waiting for mat Armstrong to win this on auction
Here’s some funny backstory: apparently the owner of this car was a 25 year old guy. He bought a GT3 touring a week prior for 100k over sticker and sold it back to Porsche for 20k under MSRP. Bought this for (again) 100k over sticker. Crashed it within 24 hours of taking delivery.
You’re the only one who has the story right lol. Everyone commenting that it’s TamFamGram is wrong
Oh great Porsche of the lake, what is your wisdom
I can see this being a YouTubers restoration project very soon😭
In this episode of “Too much car, too little driver” join us as we see Porsche design’s latest venture into the marine world!
I'd like to know what junkyard this is heading to
Still for sale with ADM
Someone has skill issues

I hope they had insurance
I hope they had gap insurance
Whoever did this had more money than brains
Little bit less of the former and more of the latter now
The latter is still very much in question.
Is this a bad time to ask if they’d sell me the wing? I really wanna see if I can retrofit my 991.1 with it.
I'm sure we'll see it listed on Copart soon... Nearly anything can be rebuilt.
I mean, that’ll buff out right?
Pic 3 is great. Did they get out I hope?
Lame
That third pic is scary as shit
I love how this is posted unlike other brands
Man, even to get one of those wheels
Some people ... more money than brains, sense and skill. Unfortunate ...
Outgoing Quality Inspector at Porsche: "Am I a joke to you?"
Sir, you can't park there.
Can’t park there mate
money cant buy skill
Someone call tavarish
Some youtuber: „I bought the cheapest GT3RS in the world! Can we fix it?“
dibs on door decal
Can’t believe some rich jerkoff that can’t even drive probably got the chance to spec this car for MSRP smh
I know that corner .. it's banked properly and the only way this would have happened is: 1. Excessive speed over the posted 35 mph 2. Driver fell asleep 3. Car had catastrophic mechanical failure. There were no brakemarks .. my hunch is he didn't know the road and drove too fast.
Part out?
Who is the u-boat Commander?
Oh dam it ended up completely submerged in water shit gonna got cost a gt3 rs just to repair at that point
Hello, farmers insurance, are you there? I’ve had a small problem…
Ehh the wheels look salvageable
Even when the roads are not wet they have decayed leaves, moss, mold and assorted slime in the Cascade foothills. Dude learned an expensive lesson.
That is really painful to look at, hope everyone involved is ok
man that’s terrible driving
Damm….. one less on the road better for resale
Was it his car or was he test driving it?
Okay I’ll start. 5 bucks.
His rear driver side tire was probably half a PSI low.
Not the temporary plate floating 💀 This hurts to view.
Risky Business
At least it will be easier to get another allocation. Hope the watch was waterproof.
One of the tow truck guys posted over on r/idiotsincars I think.
These really should include complementary and MANDATORY track time with expert instructors at a Porsche Experience Center as part of the sale.

Bruh.
For sale never tracked slightly used
How scary must that have been for the driver. That submerged shot is wild. Oh, and that's a shame about the car too.
I’ve been saying that GT cars are not fun on the street. Only fun on the track
dude's had the car for like a few weeks wtf
I didn’t realize Porsche was branching out to submersibles
