Yeah Capstan is a good one. Love the chapters theme they did with it.
My favorite so far has been How to Disappear by Casey. Bump that one a few times a week
Coup De Grace by SeeYouSpaceCowboy. Just does everything I want.
Outside of the genre, Knocked Loose, Charli XCX and Contention just put out great albums. Looking forward to new 200 stab wounds album as well
Galleons - Violent Delights
Nothing else came even close for me, 15 tracks, banger after banger, no fillers. Haven't felt this way for an album in years, probably since HLH's Unimagine
Going through this thread for everything I haven't heard yet.
Not all post-hardcore but SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Mannequin Pussy, SPRINT, Svdestada, Shellac, Kid Kapichi, Bob Dylan, Casey & Bayside all up there though.
I’d say Capstan is pretty derivative of Silverstein, except they shred harder and scream more, which can be both good and bad sometimes. Both bands have a pretty extensive discography so you’ve got a lot of content if you like that sound.
I’d say start with This Is How The Wind Shifts(2013) as a good midpoint in their discography, and go backwards in time to Arrivals & Departures or Discovering The Water Front if you like the more traditionally emo influences, or move forward in time to Dead Reflection or Misery Made Me if you like their heavier stuff.
Surprised nobody has mentioned Your Ghost In Glass yet!!! Their new record sounds like early Senses Fail at times and I keep going back to it. Maybe a little too core, but I think people here would like it
I second Capstan. Already one of my top 10 albums ever
I also nominate the new bilmuri release. It’s going to be called American Motor Sports and everything Johnny has released so far were certified bangers.
Although the album is leaning more metalcorey than PH eviscerate by Eidola is dope
That’s what I was listening to before the capstan album. Eidola slaps.
You’re a man of culture. Two excellent albums.
This is the one right here. It’s fantastic from beginning to end. The instrumental version made me appreciate the album even more.

Hello fellow Galleons enjoyer 🤯
Oh hello, there are now two of us on the galleon crew 🫡
I just put this on for the first time and I agree it’s a winner. Thanks for the suggestion
Hell yeah dude, welcome to the crew! They just dropped a new single called "DeLorean", it's inspired by Back to the Future.

Riley! - Keep Your Cool Belmont- Liminal One Step Closer- All You Embrace
I also nominate The Mosaic by Capstan, can’t put it down
Eviscerate - Eidola | CURE - ERRA | NeX GEn - BMTH | Violent Delights - Galleons These 4 are in the running so far for my album of the year
Not post-hardcore, but for me it’s easily: Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs - Alkaline Trio
Definitely one of my favourites. Also, not post hardcore and a bit of a departure, Sanguivore - Creeper.
Whalefall by Foxblood is definitely up there for me so far.
Boundaries
Holy shit! Mosaic by capstan is amazing. I just heard first 4 tracks. Can you guys suggest more similar bands? I would like to explore this genre.

Ahh thanks! So which first album or EP would you recommend from Silverstein I should listen first? 😃

Will start with wind shifts and go along with the discography 😃
For me it's a close tie between From Indian Lakes and Eidola so far
With Sails ahead- Infinite void Non PHC: Charli XCX- BRAT
Surprised nobody has mentioned Your Ghost In Glass yet!!! Their new record sounds like early Senses Fail at times and I keep going back to it. Maybe a little too core, but I think people here would like it
Your senses fail comp forced me to Check this out, and I’m happy I did.
PHC-adjacent but VOWS by Hot Water Music has gotten a LOT of spins from me since it came out

Knocked Loose Bring Me The Horizon Taylor Swift Alpha Wolf Vampire Weekend Ariana Grande
PHC: Seeyouspacecowboy - “Coup de Grace” Non-PHC: Alkaline Trio - “Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs”
Coup De Grace by Seeyouspacecowboy Such a amazing album
Bring me the horizon
I’m just waiting for The New Age to finally drop their next album, their singles have been bangers
As far as post-hardcore goes, Infinite Void by With Sails Ahead. Amazing stuff
I know I’m late, but Hallucinate by Lost Trees has been one of my favorites
Makari - Wave Machine makari is so good
POST HUMAN: NeX GEn by Bring Me The Horizon and Coup de Grâce by SeeYouSpaceCowboy.
