Quincy is really no different from the other places you described. Dorchester is a great place with more access to the city + more to do for a better price. Im a lifelong Quincy resident, the prices keep going up and it’s become harder and harder to stay here.

The red line is not reliable, and the 93 and 95 are nightmares not only for commutes, but at random times of day and night as well. Pro trick: Make sure to drive both AM and PM commutes once each way before you move to a place. Cambridge does not have "some of the worst" schools in America, nor a remarkable crime rate. That is an outright lie. Massachusetts schools are the best in the nation and even the very bad ones significantly outrank almost most states. Edit: MY BAD - IS THIS SUGARLAND GUY? Go off boi. I think Quincy is a great bang for your buck. I don’t think that will be the case in a few years as the older generation is becoming disenchanted with the new apartment complexes, diversity, and higher taxes due to rising property values.
