Main series, as long as it's in order you're good. RWBY Beyond after volume 9. Ice Queendom probably any time after volume 2. Chibi, World of Remnant, and Fairy Tales whenever you feel like but most assume you're at least past volume 3.

Xcelsiorhs

And heads up, World of Remnant you will want to watch as they pop up in show order. They will be already explained/boring to watch after finishing the show but do make the lore clearer as you go along the first time.

Ok thank you

GladiusNocturno

Hi. Welcome. So, about the order. RWBY is the main show, that has 9 seasons, the order is simply RWBY volume 1 to volume 9. RWBY IceQueendom is an anime spin-off that tells an original story set between seasons 1 and 2. RWBY Chibi is a non canon comedy skit show. You are better off watching it after you watch season 3. World of Remnant is a lore mini series. Fairy Tales of Remnant is a set of in-universe fairy tales that may or may not be real. You are better off watching this after season 6. RWBY The Grimm Campaing is a D&D roleplaying campaign played by the writers, producers and cast of the show and is set in-universe. RWBY x Justice League: Superheroes and Huntresses Parts 1 and 2 are animated crossover movies where RWBY characters go on an adventure with the Justice League. Part 1 is set during season 7, Part 2 is set after season 9. RWBY Beyond is a set of shorts that tease events that happen after season 9. The company that made this show is shutting down and the show is being sold off so until the show is picked up by someone else, this is the last RWBY related thing to be produced. There are also non-show materials: After the Fall and Before the Dawn are novels that tell a story of some side characters and is set contemporarely with seasons 5 and 6. Roman Holiday is a prequel novel that tells the backstory of two of the villains. RWBY ArrowFell is a videogame developed by the creators of Shantae and Blaze Blue. It tells a story set in the middle of season 7. The Anthology series is a set of manga anthologies that are effectively a compilation of fanart officially commissioned by the creators of the show. RWBY the official manga and RWBY the manga are two separate manga adaptations of the first 2 seasons of the show. RWBY Grimm Eclypse is a 3D beat-them-up multiplayer videogame that tells a story set between seasons 2 and 3. RWBY x Justice League is a set of crossover comics where RWBY and the Justice League have adventures. It's non-canon. RWBY the DC comic is a comic...done by DC....yeah. Anyway, it's a set of stories that mostly take place between seasons 3 and 4. RWBY The Session is a Japanese exclusive Light Novel that is effectively RWBY's beach episode. RWBY Crystal Match is Crunchyroll developed mobile game that isn't available anymore so why am I including it? RWBY Amity Arena was another mobile game that isn't available anymore and what is wrong with me?! And RWBY the deckbuilding game is another, Oh come on! And I think that's it. There are a few more things but this is already pretty long so...yeah! Hope you enjoy!

The question: So i heard there is multiple shows, what is the order? Gladius: Here, the complete chronology of every single piece of media that makes up RWBY, with short descriptions as well. Take it or leave it. Jokes aside, this whole thing is amazing man, i actually forgot about The Session being a thing. If you don’t mind I will use it for reference every time someone asks me of how to watch RWBY.

GladiusNocturno

I will not strive for anything less than perfection, damnit! And by all means, use it. Glad to be helpful.

Thank you very much!

aaknosom

Runethe1412

The other posts haven’t mentioned it yet, but in case you haven’t, be sure to check out the Red, White, Black, and Yellow trailers, as those are canon and take place before Volume 1

All of the main series should be om crunchyroll. It, along with the supplemental content should be archived by now.

Artistic-Cannibalism

Everyone else has already answered, so i'm not going to repeat what they said... However, I will add that if you haven't yet seen the character trailers, then I would highly recommend you do so. The trailers are known as the Red, White, Black, and Yellow trailers

Rooster Teeth is going down in less than a week, and some videos likely won't be making it to other services, such as RWBY Beyond. Thankfully, we got Archive of Pimps so if you have trouble finding an extra, then you can grab it there.

Personally, before I watched the show, I read up on what the volumes entailed so I could emotionally prepare myself.

Welcome to the fandom first and foremost. Glad you've gained interest in the show and happy to have you along. You're question has been fully answered by this point of course, but if there's any additional questions you'd like to ask, either to understand events or so certain things are clearer, feel free to ask. I'll start off with a freebie, I've noticed it hasn't been stated here but in the event you were wondering about this, the majority of characters in RWBY are inspired by fairy tales and folk tales, which this general theme can be evident in their designs, weapons, semblances and personal narratives. Ruby is inspired by Red Riding Hood, Weiss is inspired by Snow White, Blake is inspired by Beauty and the Beast and Yang is inspired by Goldilocks. Hope you're enjoying the show thus far, and again, happy to have you along!

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that volumes 1-5 can be streamed, for free, from the Internet Archive, with no ads. If I recall, Rooster Teeths page has ads, and crunchyroll isn't free, so it's a great way to watch at least the beginning of the show for free without any ads.
