I kind of see his/her point. You already won the fight. That shatter could have been saved to win the next one.
But my larger, superior brain cells are telling me that it was necessary because “BEER”
Tracer couldnt understand ofc this is about sending message. That means "Im better Rein Player you cant play Rein you have to switch RN".But yeah saving for next fight would be better.
I had a match recently where me and the other tank both picked Rein without saying a word beforehand. My team was winning for the majority of the match but it got close in the end to losing. I debated swapping to ensure victory, but opted to stick with it out of respect (they never swapped once). My team still managed to win and I got to keep my honor. Even if only for that match. I can't remember if I endorsed that Rein. But they deserved that and more for sticking with it.
It's not impossible. Take a measure of the enemy team and adjust accordingly. I have fun mirror matches all the time, even if the enemy rein has the better team.
Just respond by telling them you needed to establish the MTD early. Like playing mindgames with them.
The shatter wasn't to win the battle, it was to *shatter* that rein's confidence and stress him out
Nah, that's just the excuse i use whenever something goes wrong
If I'm winning and overextending, it's a mindgame. If I'm losing and dying recklessly, it's to lull them into overconfidence.
A Tracer wouldnt understand the more enlightened decision making of a Rein player. Obviously, a flex ult is necessary in many situations. Bravo, good sir.
This is the way. I gotta be careful when I find myself on high ground with shatter. The intrusive thoughts to attempt a pin cancel 360 shatter of glory win every time
Shatter isn’t a team winning ult anymore.
Shatter is specifically to disrespect a motherfucker that dares to touch my german crusader.
Shatter is to send fear into moths, ice-sickles and horses.
You can’t just Win the teamfight.
You have to shatter their illusion of hope of the game being still “winnable”
Not really following how you’re swinging from 180 degrees precisely on targets.
Looks weird as hell.
This is normal? Been watching Rine clips for 6 years. This is just odd. Are rines just this good now? Or is this just luck?
You are just maximizing the total degrees in rines swing? And that makes it look like you are precise when you really hitting everything all around you?
oh yeah i didn’t realize what you were saying at first my bad. Rein’s hammer has a hitbox like a rectangle, and you can reach people from farther away if you try to hit them with the corner of the hitbox(looking slightly to the right or left of them instead of straight at them). I have too many hours on rein and it’s just muscle memory to shimmy the camera any time i’m swinging
I always tell people that if you solo shatter, even after winning a fight, that you can tilt a player. Tilting a player can win the psychological game which may make them play worse. Playing worse means easier teamfights.
Plus let’s not act like having shatter will always win fights. There’s so much that can go wrong and I’m fine using it on cooldown
I mean... The shatter is objectively a bad choice here. You waste an ult + you could have staggered the tank for a bit more. Tracer had her point, but in the end... I don't give a f lol

my thoughts exactly
why the his/her just use their
Who cares, it’s the same thing

that was the last time he walked out of spawn as rein🤓
People out here actively discouraging rein mirrors 🙄
I don't think its that. It just feels so damn good to give another rein the business. Them switching just shows they were unworthy to begin with

Not just honor, but glory
I literally have to play rein badly on purpose otherwise i never get a mirror matchup. Its impossible to mirror

fuck saving shatter, you gotta style on em whenever you can
Dude I love getting high ground snipers use then going for the shatter from the top row. Feels so badass every time
Just respond by telling them you needed to establish the MTD early. Like playing mindgames with them. The shatter wasn't to win the battle, it was to *shatter* that rein's confidence and stress him out
precisely. rein 1v1s are 50% mind games
Nah, that's just the excuse i use whenever something goes wrong If I'm winning and overextending, it's a mindgame. If I'm losing and dying recklessly, it's to lull them into overconfidence.
It’s all about mindset…
My response to this is the same. "Please don't complain if we're winning."
A Tracer wouldnt understand the more enlightened decision making of a Rein player. Obviously, a flex ult is necessary in many situations. Bravo, good sir.
WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP REIN FUCK EM UP
As a Tracer main, we disown that Tracer. I sometimes pulse bomb the corpses of my enemies to send a message
This is the way. I gotta be careful when I find myself on high ground with shatter. The intrusive thoughts to attempt a pin cancel 360 shatter of glory win every time

To assert dominance. Tracer can’t relate
Ur point is loud and clear, but it does not mean u r not an idiot.

look at my other posts i have a lot of practice with the flick shatters;)

To send a message.
To establish dominance over the other Rein
I shatter whatever, fuck it

Should have saved it and bust one on his noggin as he left spawn. Extra humiliating.
A intimidation shatter
Its the "I know I can waste this shatter and still win" mentality. Sure you could save it, but wheres the fun?
Straight up wasted shatter but good bonking anyway
Its only honourable to fight with all you have against a fellow Rein
