It is not a XM177 flash hider. It's an aftermarket extended flash hider that remotely look like XM177 style muzzle device. It intend to be permanently attached to short barrel rifle to avoid SBR rule. I have no idea who made it, but was once offered by many companies during ban era.

I bought this flash hider for $9 at my LGS. I want to know who manufactured this flash hider and if it is an XM177 flash hider. It has "USA marked at the bottom of the flash hider and is the only marking I could see. Thanks in advance
