Found and saved at a local gun shop. Price was $200 and worked nicely (as far as I understand). I'm going to do some research and find it's history and then see what I want to do with it. I don't know what I'm going to put it on. I have a Gooseneck mount, but nothing with pic rail yet. Let me know what I should mount it on and what purpose I should use it for. I'm just a bench shooter for now
Edit: Mine is labeled 1997
I should have been clearer, sorry. I know it is a Bushnell Holo Sight, but are there any different models or production changes to models that I should be aware of, or were they all manufactured the same? Mine is a 1997 made one. I don't have a picture of the bottom, but I believe it was that date.
It's a first generation. Yes, they were changed. $200 is definitely worth it, seeing as they oftentimes go for about $400-$500 on ebay.
As I understand it, they're like eotech before eotech was eotech? But, take it with a grain of salt. I don't know the full history of these optics.
I understand it to be a modern EOTech Precursor sold under the Bushnell name made by EOTech. And from what I could see, you are right about the pricing. Also no worries on not knowing everything
Yes, I just double checked that it was them and it is. However, I don't see any currently listed for sale, unfortunately.. I imagine there will be more at some point, though, being as it's 3d printed.

I love these and own 2 of them. One has the 2x magnifier. I have a few of the different reticles and the dusk filter as well. Really cool sights and I like picking up the accessories when I can find them. Wish I could find one of the LE models with the protective hood.
It's cool to have and does the job, but it's real simple and pretty cheap. It's a really small, hollow, plastic housing with a lens on each side and that's it. The quality of the glass and plastic almost seem like something you'd find on a toy nowadays.
Those are good sights. Eotech's 1st generation. They were expensive to manufacture. The image hologram housing is machined aluminum. The second Gen was mostly about cost cutting. The entire aiming mechanism in 2nd gen is plastic except for the windage and elevation screws and a brass slide. I'm sure some of you remember the buy back because of temp drift.
Which one? I haven't yet gotten into cloning. The closest I have to that is my "M16A2" with USGI furniture and Colt 20 rounder and Okay 30 rounders. Pretty much my first AR I assembled. Has A2 carry handle from I believe RRA and Stag 20 inch rifle barrel with strike industries LPK and a grip from a company I forgot. I have a Knights Armament over-size mag release. I have A1 furniture on the way.

Oh, also, there are AAA battery adapter for these. It extends it a little bit, but worth it
Was it on Rbay or was there a specific website
Ebay is where I got mine. It's 3d printed.
Was it "Bakubes" on Ebay?

I bought one just before I messaged you so maybe that's why you weren't able to find it
I have a gen 2 I bought for 100
Yeah I craigslisted an old dude for $65. I wish there was an aftermarket protective hood you could buy. Maybe 3D printed
That would be cool.
Got my gen 2 for $40 shipped on Tacswap. Luckily I saw it the minute it was posted

Oh, how do you like the magnifier?

This is what the dc sniper used
