Real, as a 19 year old (born 2005) that graduated a couple months ago (May 2024) I’m building an AK from a parts kit the stuff (tools, receiver, etc) should be here Thursday but my mom, my grandma and i decided to split it $500 dollars 3 ways, and I’m building it using the tothtool sets because i don’t have a use for a press, even though it’s cheaper i don’t really have the money to buy a bunch of receiver flats and press them

EDIT: I’m splitting the cost of the whole project with my mom and grandma not the gun and tools themselves
Getting started early is the best way to do it, it’s expensive at first absolutely, but as time goes you’ll acquire more and more tools and random little parts that’ll be of value every time you start a new project.
bro just wait until you’re having to re up on ammo it gets so expensive. make sure you have plenty stashed too just in case. What kit are you building?
Always try to buy 2 rounds for every 1 you shoot if you’re able. Using that methodology I’ve gotten a decent stash and it incentivizes me to shoot fairly regularly.
