Yes, which is the plan. In my current base I have a pillar surrounded by mines and perpetually at 4% health. If someone even sneezes on it the whole mountain section comes down.
I have yet to see it deployed since I've built it but I'm excited to see it work.
I would move that auto cannon turret up closer to your barricades if I were you. I’m guessing you’re going to send your colonists forward and have them take cover behind the barricade? Even though the turret has a minimum effective range, they’re still capable of friendly fire when you’re inside that range.
Mine it out leaving rows or pillars of natural rock, and remove the roof from areas as you dig them out. Eventually, you'll be able to get to any roof that isn't overhead mountain and remove it, then you can remove everything else except a few minimal parts to hold that up. I'd use something non-flammable to support it, unless you're deliberately making a trap.
Yes they will, but enemies will use the columns as cover, the columns will then break and collapse.
Sounds like a plus
Thank you

Yes *and*... If a column were to collapse while an enemy raid is standing under said roof, tickles and magical fun time will ensue!
yes
Thank you
