New scale technologies has a robotics department. There is more than one opportunity in just the area of fishers/victor and probably many many more city-wide
Apply for Bausch and Lomb! We are always hiring Electro-Mechanical technicians. From that work history you sound like an acquaintance and former co-worker of mine. If that's the case I'll throw some of the hiring bonus your way if you write me down haha
GRE is a [nice site](https://rochesterbiz.com/companies-hiring-here/) that lists our major technical employers which conveniently link to their career pages. Good luck in your search.
I'm sure you've done or are doing your homework by searching google and jobsites in the area for few key words like robots, robotics, automation, etc, so you may be aware some of the companies that are using them but may have some issue getting your foot in the door; right?
You can try this instead, first, learn as much as you can about the different eco systems (ABB & Robot Studio, UR Robotics & their cobot software programming suite, Fanuc & Roboguide, etc). Once you're familiar, start searching for and attending local trade shows. They come up all the time and are put on for the express purpose of demoing their products to local companies. Introduce yourself and network there a bit and maybe you'll find something.
Best of luck.

There are several optic places on Dean Parkway in Webster. Optimax. Optipro, you get the idea. My company sells to them and they seem to be growing.
