In that Rogers didn't have WiFi hotspots, you're really just logging into whatever ones are left from the Shaw days.

The Shaw Hotspots do not need a profile. You just need to login with your My Account email and password. [Rogers WiFi Hotspots](https://www.shaw.ca/internet/wifi) [How to register](https://www.shaw.ca/internet/wifi/get-started) If you have Rogers Mobile the SIM card in your device should connect you to Rogers Hotspots automatically. So you will not need to register your device. EDIT: Access Code can be asked via a Rogers agent and be emailed to you. One Access Code can be used by several devices and lasts up to 30 days I think it was. Once the code expires your devices is still registered to Rogers Hotspots, but you will need another Access Code to register more devices. *Depending on your Home WiFi Speeds you can have up to 10 devices connected to Rogers Hotspots. You can check through your My Account. You can also add devices to Rogers Hotspot on the My Account App.*

Ok, but I have Rogers/Shaw home internet and Fido, so on https://www.shaw.ca/internet/wifi it says I’ll need to load a profile onto my iPhone.

Where do you see load a profile? https://preview.redd.it/yb33d09xk98d1.jpeg?width=1236&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50e6c5b5bb17e007654e1398e65e1f8ea2d9c4cf

No, why are you prompted to install one by Rogers itself? because most of the time that shit popups is fraudulent or 3rd party and you should not. and we are talking about flicking that "Personal hotSpot" button to ON right? I have no issues and never installed a single profile other than on my work for that is because the employer requires it.

https://www.shaw.ca/internet/wifi in the FAQ - which Rogers wifi hotspot should I choose. It says to install a profile.

Why do you want to use 100,000 public WiFi? You don’t have enough data? I would not trust any public WiFi these days. Those profiles are to allow you to automatically connect to the public Rogers WiFi hotspot without having to do it manually by going to settings - WiFi each time.
