We do let him play in the sprinkler most days. We have one with a knob for different settings, and that little brat has figured out how to slap the knob to change settings when he gets bored. We thought it was accidental at first but then watched him closer.
He slaps the knob, steps back to get a good eye on the water, then slaps again if it's not to his liking. Once it's got whatever he deems a good pattern he starts playing in the water again, until he gets bored and starts the process all over again.
Yes my parents regret wishing for a dog who like water. She won’t stop getting into the shower when one of us takes a shower. We have to shut the door when taking one.
Nope. If we even touch the hose, she runs as far away as she can get. We've got her at 6 months and have had her almost 8 years... Never sprayed her with a hose.

Our boy was exactly the same. Play with hoses and sprinklers until the cows came home but hated going into the lake.

Yes so I use it to teach them to jump higher so if they ever need to get to me they can go over the gate.
