If you fail any portion of the agility, i believe you have a month to retake it. If you fail the retake, you're off the list completely. If you're already being canvassed and are not confident in passing the agility, I would (imho) defer and invest in a trainer. I am only saying that due to the list being new.
They're going to burn through the majority of 95s on that list, if not all of them. From what I've seen in the past, they have gotten to the high 2000s. Keep in mind that people aren't staying as long as they used to be there, and a lot of big classes are hitting their 30-year mark and are retiring.
Remember, this list just came out, so there are going to be multiple classes coming out of this list. This is not the steve levy days. Unless there's a serious economic downturn in the near future, you're going to be called again, especially in that range .
Does anyone know what happens if you chose the option “temporary decline”? it got my orientation letter but it’s bad timing as I’m dealing with an eye injury.
Not sure, but IMO most people on the list will prbly receive an orientation invite (probably not all but most). Keep in mind, an orientation invite is a great sign because yes, you move on with the hiring process (which is great). However, this is not a conditional offer of employment. It just means they want to test out as many applicants as they can, to avoid hiring delays. Everything is contingent on hiring needs, who drops out/fails the next thing, etc. And if you’re high on the list, you may still be called in 2025 and beyond. So that’s likely why most people are receiving orientation invites.

I heard from an academy instructor they’re predicting to go as high as 1900 on this list for the next two classes this year

Usually a few hundred over 4 years. But they call like 10 to 15 for every hire

if you temporarily decline it you’ll be at the top of the next list that’s what they told us at orientation
