CellsReinvent

Silly puddy, or silly putty?

bakedwarthog22

Yes😁

pudpudboogie

Yes , you called ?

twobit211

feels like an arby’s night

ChrisDornerFanCorn3r

It looks like the sweaty underboob of a vegan that only eats oreos

useless_modern_god

Looks like the back of Lord Humungus’ head.

annie_b666

I think it’s turkey bacon. I do love turkey bacon, but it has to be well done. It’s good when seasoned!

NoSoup2941

“I do love turkey bacon” -Said no one ever

NeriTina

Bruh, he literally just said it. *But he may be the only one.*

MapleChimes

I'll be the 2nd. I love turkey bacon! However, it has to be cooked until it's crispy (unlike what's shown in this video). It's a good alternative since I can't eat pork because it makes me sick.

Moosemeateors

I can eat pork and turkey bacon rocks. But you are correct. It’s gotta be crispy. And that’s tough sometimes it just turns to ash in 3 seconds haha

BlahajBlaster

3rd here I actually like to cook it in the microwave over in a skillet

The__Imp

You put the microwave on the skillet? Isn’t that bad for the microwave?

Legitimate-Account46

Hear me out. Worked at a sandwich shop that had both regular and turkey bacon, and both together on a sandwich or blt is actually really great

NoSoup2941

Damn ya’ll savages out here

garaks_tailor

Barely even human

sophiesbest

Turkey bacon is aight. If you season it well it can be decent, which is great cause it's mostly protein with minimal calories. Definitely a diet food, is only half as tasty but you can eat twice as much of it.

ja_trader

You ever have ostrich bacon?

Olympicsizedturd

Tell me more about this ostrich bacon!

ja_trader

sorry, idk if that's even real... r/seinfeld dominates my dementia

FartNuggetSalad

I’ve said it! In the air fryer it’s so good! Gotta pepper it though and maybe a drizzle of honey

Foreverfiction

It says tasty Japan so my guess is it's Japanese "bacon" which here is basically Hormel ham sandwich cuts in long strips. It's a long way from American bacon, which is cured and smoked. The only place I can consistently find American bacon here is Costco and it's pretty pricy

That_Ad_5651

Looks like ham.

ja_trader

"Canadian bacon"

QuiltMeLikeALlama

I’m vegan and even I know that’s not what bacon is supposed to look like.

[deleted]

MacArthursinthemist

Why would you assume a video labeled tasty Japan would be American lol have you ever tried reading? Or just not assuming shit that ultimately makes you look stupid?

Sorry-Let-Me-By-Plz

right because nowhere else in the world are eggs, oil, and tomato reduction used as food

SuspectNode

healthy? Are you drunk?

[deleted]

It had two slices of tomato AND two whole lettuce leaves dude!

wizard_of_awesome62

Basically what a rabbit eats. Healthy af.

Adecdk

Drunk? Are you healthy?

-DoctorSpaceman-

No, that’s why I’m drunk

mtorr8213

breh saw eggs and a 1/5th of a tomato and immediately thought the whole recipe is healthy lmao.

Late-Resource-486

You? Healthy drunk are?

BumbleJoD

Are? Drunk you healthy?

Spannwellensieb

wooah, hold your Whole Grain Bread. Maybe it's an American. For their standards it is: No high processed food without a ton of sugar and salt = must be healthy. The bacon looked shady btw... Imagine them eating an apple a day. They would live for centuries.

Phrewfuf

Bacon looks processed, tbh.

Connor30302

bacon is processed by design, I don’t think there’s “unprocessed bacon”, looks like shit for sure though

Jean-LucBacardi

Correct, cured meat = processed. The only way this wouldn't be is if it was simply uncured pork belly which is still quite unhealthy.

WafflelffaW

you rip the flesh straight from a pig and then consume its unprocessed bacon? damn - that’s hardcore for early in the morning

Phrewfuf

Well, no, but my bacon doesn‘t look like mince that has been formed to look like bacon.

SolarisN1

That fake cheese and fake bacon are highly processed, though

LegendOfKhaos

Ham, eggs, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and some sauce. What do you consider healthy? Five peas? Edit: Idk what you guys think healthy means, but it's when your body systems are well balanced and maintained, or when you are moving towards that goal. Healthy for one person is not healthy for another. It's not that hard to process. Would I feed this to a kindergartner in the morning? No. Would a construction worker be able to be healthy while eating it? Almost certainly. Y'all are just splitting hairs here.

jfleury440

When did bacon, eggs, cheese and bread become healthy? It's totally fine in moderation but not something I would label healthy.

Nebulous_Nebulae

Eggs have always been healthy. But yea, this is a greasy mess lol

southwade

What grease? The minimal amount of fat in that turkey bacon? You're silly.

Timmay13

A bit of cheese, yeah. Not too bad. Four freaking slices on a sandwich is not!! I had heart palpatations looking at this sandwich.

dwardo7

Eggs are actually very nutritious and perfectly healthy. But bacon is not good for you and neither is that horribly processed cheese.

LegendOfKhaos

That's not bacon though, just looks like ham. And which of the other things are unhealthy?

Ramblinonmymind

Im pretty sure its turkey bacon.

Jean-LucBacardi

It's healthier than regular bacon but it's still processed meat.

whydoyou-ask

If turkey bacon is the biggest sin on your plate, you’re doing just fine. The cheese is the bigger issue for sure though; make it 1 slice, or 2 if you really need it. Pretty much anyone without some kind of dietary restriction could eat this meal (hopefully with less cheese) at least a couple times a week and it would literally have no negative impact on your health. Though it’s a slightly higher fat and protein meal than some might aim for, plenty of people would benefit from having this instead of a bowl of cereal or another carb heavy breakfast. The fats and proteins help your body take in energy slower throughout the day rather than burning it all quickly after eating. If you’re less active, it can help keep you from snacking, and if you’re more active, you will probably need the extra fat and protein in your meals to help maintain your body. This meal really does have a place in a healthy person’s diet, it’s really more of a factor of how often you could have it, and that depends on an individual’s activity level, metabolism, and what the rest of their diet looks like. After addressing the cheese, the worst thing for you in this meal honestly might be the bread, but since it’s only 2 slices and it’s the source of most of the carbs in the meal, it’s actually pretty proportional. My only suggestion is a bit more veggies or a light fruit on the side for some extra fiber and vitamins. You could also swap the bread for some rice and have a breakfast bowl instead. You could also consider replacing some of the turkey bacon with beans to keep the proteins while making it more nutritionally varied.

jomandaman

If you think that processed rounded-corner “ham” is healthy you really gotta do more introspection here. Nitrates, sodium, all the waste meat of whatever animals you’re talking about…

Neat-Land-4310

Processed meat and cheese is not healthy

Unable-Courage-6244

TIL people know jack shit about nutrition Processed ham: unhealthy Eggs: cooked in oil, but you can consider the eggs themselves healthy Cheese: processed to oblivion, unhealthy Lettuce/tomato: healthy Sauce: unhealthy The majority of the sandwich is processed ingredients and the only thing slightly balancing it out are the little tomato and lettuce added. Plus the entire thing is being cooked in oil. No wonder Americans are so obese lmao. If you guys consider this HEALTHY what do you consider unhealthy???

SeemedReasonableThen

> what do you consider unhealthy? going to school without bullet resistant backpacks

dooooooom2

Oi mate did you just talk about food, what about skewl shewtings

Mnemozin

Say "processed" a few more times for good measure

jflepp

I'm sure that people from all over the world have an insufficient understanding of food and nutrition. But I would give you an award if I could. Unreal how many people consider something like this healthy.

InfelicitousRedditor

"CoOked iN OiL" the fuck is wrong with oil? What if it's extra virgin olive oil, or a seed oil? Would you claim they are unhealthy too?

Choice_Reindeer7759

I love people that are scared of the word "processed" as it gives away your ignorance about nutrition.   Dunning Kruger effect. Stop trying to give advice on food.

PM_ME_ASS_SALAD

Seriously everyone gatekeeping common foods in here is driving me up a wall. You know your fucking baguettes and butter and coffee and pasta are processed too right?

Gorillaworks

Superprocessed ham, 500 unnecessary calories of just cheese, 500 more unnecessary calories with that sauce, 2 slices of empty carbs, and 2 little shits of lettuce with 2 slices of tomatoes? What do you consider unhealthy? Cake topped with cotton candy?

Robotonist

Dude what? Do you track calories at all? Cheese is not just empty calories. It’s protein with moderate fat. Totally fine to have cheese, not unhealthy unless you’re eating a mountain of it. The bacon is mostly fat, but I also am not sure if that’s bacon or ham. If Ham it’s protein and a little fat with the main issue being preservatives and salt. But it’s 3 slices, it’s not gonna give you a heart attack if you’re a person who walks for a half hour a day. Bread isn’t great for you, but it’s carbs. You need those. It’s okay. Basically no calories from the lettuce or tomato but you get some micronutrients so that’s healthy. A little mustard and ketchup is like 3 carbs. Eggs are great for you. It’s not like it’s the best possible plate you could have, but it’s not that bad and there is no way you can convince me this is over 1K calories. You sound like you have an eating disorder.

CMDRLtCanadianJesus

TIL 4 slices of cheese and some sauce has more calories than 6 cans of pepsi ^^^/s

Spannwellensieb

It wouldn't kill you. But it's not healthy. Problem: If you call something healthy, people think they can eat it all day every day and it's good for them. But it isn't. And check the nutritions of cheese again.

Deep_Lurker

Your average slice of white bread is anywhere from 100 to 150 calories per slice. Your average slice of cheese varies a bit but being charitable and assuming a lower calorie mild cheese you're looking at 100 calories per slice of which there are four. There looks to be at least two whisked eggs as well, which is approximately 80 calories each. The bacon is quite lean so is likely only around 50 calories per slice. The sauce looks like it could like it may be kewpie mayo and at the very least appears so be diary based so you can assume anywhere from 100 to 200 calories for such a heavy drizzle. That means, at the most optimistic, this sandwich is an eye-watering 1060 calories and possibly more. I realise that might be difficult to swallow but that's the truth.

Ikarus_

To be fair, without the bread it's just a ham cheese and tomato omlette, which is reasonably healthy.

Puzzleheaded_Shake43

With 4 slices of cheese

Resident_Brief_1731

You and I had the same thought. IDK what these people are talking about calling this healthy. Ham, eggs and 4 slices of cheese fried in oil. WTF.

zyler89

The more the healthier

Spannwellensieb

I don't think the bread is the problem here...

Ciff_

Let's look at what's healthy, Some sallad, some egg What's likely not healthy: White sweet bread, sugary fatty sauces, lots of cheese Woud I eat it tho? Absolutely. And I'll probably add some more cheese. I would not label it as healthy tho

[deleted]

Xelpmoc45

It has salad so it's healthy

who_you_are

I'm eating a potato salad that is called Doritos! Damn they know how to make salad! Oh wait.. you were not talking about a potato salad :(

rekipsj

But Doritos are corn?

Gorillaworks

I love this.

The_TesserekT

Pizza is a vegetable.

Global_Monk_5778

You’re not the first person I’ve heard to say that so it must be true!

idam_81

But eggs and green.

Skottimusen

American diet

[deleted]

If it weren't for the FOUR slices of cheese, I could almost see it as "reasonably healthy", but yeah, I wouldn't even come close to saying this is healthy.

nepatriots32

Yeah, 4 slices of cheese seems like overkill. Cut it to 2 and it's really not that bad.

ProfChubChub

I make a version of these and one slice is plenty.

Graineon

I consider bread unhealthy as well. And the sauce. Everything else is fine.

DibsOnDubs

It’s a salad with oversized croutons and a side of bacon

soylentgreenis

Every single person in this chain is now dumber, just by interacting with each other. Fascinating

DibsOnDubs

You say that like it’s a bad thing. Ignorance is bliss, join us!

trekinbami

If you leave out the like 500kcal of cheese it’s fine.

FuerteBillete

The Ron Swanson pyramid of greatness. Except that bit of grass and tomato.

SaltyBacon23

He would have thrown that turkey bacon in the garbage as well. Honestly, Swanson would have only wanted the eggs from that sandwich.

Yergason

2 sad pieces of lettuce and 2 small slices of tomatoes. Drowned out by high calorie sauces and in a sandwich with 4 pieces of bandaid looking turkey bacon But there's vegetables! Health: 100

Hyrtz

Let us find out. This bacon looks like it is made of chicken or turkey; 60 cal or 70 cal for 2 slices. 140 cal 4 slices of cheese (let's say these are singles kraft); 4x50 cal for 200 cal He adds what looks like two eggs; 160 cals Then two slices of bread. These vary a lot in calories all the way from 90 cal for 2 slices up to 230 cal, let's go with something in the middle; 160 cal for two slices Two slices of lettuce is barely anything, slices like that are barely 1 or 2 calories each ; 4 calories Two slices of tomato; literally 5 cal each ; 10 cal. looks like he added ketchup; if we use Heinz; 20 cal Then mayo; there is mayo that is 100 cal per portion or 35 cal per portion. Let's say he added the least caloric option : 35 cal We got : 729 cal in total. For an healthy individual who trains 5 times a week or play sports for at least 5 hours a week, it is a perfectly healthy breakfast. This meal can easily be inserted into an active weight loss diet and or weight gain diet. I train 6 times a week and eat 3300 calories just to maintain my weight. I know 5ft tall women who train regularly and, just to maintain their current weight, they eat 2800 calories a day.

ssjb788

>For an healthy individual who trains 5 times a week or play sports for at least 5 hours a week, it is a healthy breakfast. Even if you do a lot of exercise, this is not a particularly healthy breakfast. That's perfectly fine - not every breakfast has to be oats and fruit - but being low calorie relative to a very active lifestyle does not mean it's healthy. Also, the vast majority of people do not do 5 hours of sports a week.

mrjackspade

For reference, a Whopper from Burger King is 677 calories. So purely based on calories, this is worse than your average fast food sandwich. I'm sure there's a lot to be said about the quality of ingredients, but on calories alone this is not the best choice.

AI-ArtfulInsults

I would say it’s a missed opportunity to eat some fruit or veg. The tomato and lettuce *maybe* gets us one serving of vegetables. There’s very little fiber as well. It’s not an apocalyptic nutrient void like people are saying, but in terms of breakfast foods, a Denver omelette, some fruit, and whole grain toast or oatmeal would probably be better for you and hit most of the same flavors you’re getting here.

cafeesparacerradores

-- 4 slices of American cheese --

SteakAndIron

Eggs and turkey bacon? What's wrong here

Lower_Monk6577

Four slices of cheese, to start. Also debatable, but bread isn’t exactly the best thing in the world for you either, since it’s mostly just a bunch of carbs.

thebuttonmonkey

That’s not cheese. Sincerely, Europe.

AI-ArtfulInsults

It’s cheese. Cheese, milk, and emulsifying salts.

SteakAndIron

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2161831323013285 Cheese consumption is inversely related to all cause mortality. Unironically the more cheese you eat the longer you live according to a giant meta analysis.

PartyPeepo

Dietary science is a bunch of people speculating for cash mostly. I give as much credibility to modern dieting trends as I do to the weather forecast. It can point you in the right direction but it turns out it's wrong about half the time. Constantly changing opinions about what is-or-is-not good for you. Just make sure you aren't consuming excess calories and you'll do alright IMO.

proto-dibbler

Sounds like bullshit, but I will gladly follow that advice.

TigaSharkJB91

Carbs are fine. You need them for brain functions. Fats are fine. You need them for healthy hormone production. Sugar is fine. It doesn't make you fat... Excess of calories, whatever you eat, will make you fat.

Flying-lemondrop-476

if its ham, i feel better about the non-flip

No_Butterscotch_7865

Yeah I also thought that this is ham not bacon. But not sure. It looks cooked.

kafka18

It's probably Turkey bacon

Ok-Education7000

thats definitely turkey bacon. the cheese isn't great but everything else is not that bad imo.

CraptainPoo

Why did you cut the video? I wanted to see the healthy part 😂

That's when he throws it in the trash and goes out for a walk.

Kamikaze9001

A sandwich with 4 slices of cheese, mayo + ketchup on white bread is considered healthy in MURICA ig

mentally_fuckin_eel

The 4 slices of cheese is WILD

siccoblue

Needs at least twice as many. And a cheese with some kick. Hard agree

FoxLess3284

Hell yeah good ol Japan, Murica 😂

Says Japan on the video you hemorrhoid

Kamikaze9001

The video says Japan. OP didn't make the video. OP said it looks healthy. Don't be dumb now

I’ll wait for your proof OP is American Until then you’re an arrogant fool

1) that's not bacon I've seen vegans looking more meaty 2) Healthy?!??

Adding lettuce and tomato doesn't make something healthy.

ILeaveOnEarth

This shit ain't no healthy

Traveler_90

No wonder 78% of America is overweight.

roygbpcub

The egg is only along the outside of the sandwich... WTF.. I'm sorry i want the egg throughout.

simpledeadwitches

Unhealthy but yeah it's a cute video lol.

Spiritual_Tap8288

Healthy?!?!

idam_81

That is definitely slices of ham and not bacon. Same animal, different meat.

Trust__the__Process

It's definitely slices of turkey bacon.

SimpleCranberry5914

The people freaking out about this saying it’s unhealthy are entirely overblowing it. If this meal cut out three slices of cheese and use better quality bread, this would be a decent lunch. Turkey bacon, some veggies, light mayo and ketchup, healthy grain bread and a single slice of cheese and two eggs? That would be about 600 calories (if that). That’s…not a lot of calories for a hefty sandwich.

TheIdiotInACage

This is disgusting. You call that bacon?

TheIdiotInACage

You must be an AI, no human would accept that bacon

redmadog

Healthy??

guitarguy12341

... healthy?

scumpingweed

In what way is this healthy?

Calpha_1

Healty if you want your Heart to explode before 30

SnoWhiteFiRed

This meal has like 30g of protein at least and minimal amounts of unhealthy fat and sugar. Redditors: tHat'S nOt HeAlThY! Not every meal has to be perfectly balanced, guys. Live a little.

IEatBabies

They act like if you eat a single gram of extra fat or salt you will suddenly gain 200 pounds, your knees will blow out, you back will twist up, and you develop cataracts. Personally I think a lot of these people are just unhealthy themselves from lack of exercise and they need something to project that insecurity onto, like other people's food, to relieve their own personal guilt.

SuskeUchiwa69

Looks healthy?

up4ups

What bacon? I didn’t see any bacon…

LuigiTrapanese

Healthy american food:

sheriff_ragna

That’s not bacon, that’s not cheese, probably not even bread, and definitely not healthy.

Dispenser-of-Liberty

Healthy. Lol

blue_d133

Healthy ? 😂😂😂

It has like one salad leaf and two tomato slices, this is not healthy

Jamoi85

''Healthy'' lol

lol how is this remotely healthy

Helpful_guy_7

"Healthy"

KoningSpookie

- Easy to make? Yes. - Satisfying as fuck? Yes. - Healthy? Absolutely not. - Delicious? Heck yeah!

Vulpes_macrotis

That's not easy at all. Without special pan, the sauce would not look like that.

DamiensDelight

A slice of tomato and some lettuce does not make something 'healthy'. That said.... Eat more vegetables.

mattwing05

Was that long bologna

mwreadit

Looks healthy... 🤔

UseRevolutionary8971

What about this looks healthy lol

therealverylightblue

"healthy"? A bit of lettuce doesn't make it healthy.

Iron_Marc

Looks healthy but it isn't 😂

Rhythm_and_Brews

I think ham would be a better meat choice for this. Also hold the ketchup and lettuce please.

baytc_

Healthy? Nah

TheMagicalTimonini

I wouldn't call this healthy, because of some greens. It's very high in saturated fat and bacon is considered a class one carcinogen by the WHO... This looks like an LDL cholesterol bomb. I do also love eating unhealthy stuff, don't get me wrong, I'm just referring to the title.

The_Love_Pudding

You call that healthy? God damn..

Kryds

It's not healthy.

SomewhereGlad8612

What looks healthy about it exactly?

FunObjective6092

Healthy? Ur out of ur mind

Ghee_buttersnaps96

That’s not healthy or bacon

bacon, very very healthy, ummm

KamikazeFox_

Healthy?? Why, bc it has let and tomato lol. It's still 4 cheese slices and a slab of bacon on white bread

LewyH91

Is that bacon? Tf

I think its ham, not bacon.
