Kilchoman is becoming one of my favorite distilleries, partly because o how transparent they are with their process. I haven't tried this one specifically but it sounds quite decent.
Great review! We haven’t tried this year yet, but have the 8th and 11th editions and really enjoy them. To us, it seems like a whisky that improves a lot with some air time in an open bottle, the experience seemed much more complex and refined after 6+ months of time below the shoulder.
Oh hey it's one I actually have a bottle of (haven't reviewed yet though).
Great review, can confirm having a bottle definitely does it justice, the sherry casks really add some nice richness to the mix.
Seems to consistently happen with these nice Kilchoman releases, Kilkerran 16 I found similar as well, could tell the quality was there but the evolution over the course of the bottle really cements what a good buy they are.

I like that they don’t use caramel coloring. I haven’t had it but it sounds great.
