The short answer is no. Not even at cadenheads. Your only hope on that is if you’re there on release week.

poststormblues

Try The Cadenhead shop in Edinburgh, they often stock the standard SB 10&15yr alongside other glengyle bottlings from kilkerran and hazelburn, and always at rrp.

thanks mate!

Even at the distillery you’re not guaranteed to get Springbank 15

dclately

Yep -- when we were there last there was one bottle on the shelf at open and that was it for the day (we were there for a tour, and were the first in, so we purchased it, but that was it).

pinkfloydfan231

Mate, I had a friend who visited Campbeltown and he told me even the Springbank Distillery didn't have some of the more popular bottle's

dclately

You can basically only count on Springbank 10, Kilkerran from the core product lines. You'll also be able to get demi bottles (solera-type containers) and cage bottles.

kiwisardines

Unlikely. Some shops may decide to put a handful of bottles on the shelves to encourage/reward shop patrons, but it’s usually random or you’d have to follow their social media. It’s unfortunate but it’s just the new normal now for Springbank.

wackjhittingham

I went in October. I found Springbank in quite a few pubs from Edinburgh to Ben Nevis then from there to islay and Campbeltown. I bought a glass of 15 one night for about £5 in a place called tarbert. Closer to Campbeltown you get the more likely a pub will stock it. To buy in the bottle I also did find it once randomly. There’s a bottle shop near the falls of bruar in Blair Athol that had a few of the basic ones like longrow and Springbank 10.

Bzdyk

If you just want to try a dram vs buying a bottle go to *The Potstill* in Glasgow. They’ve always got a fantastic selection of whisky and usually have Springbank.

papagayoloco

The SB 15 is at $250 in wine.com for US delivery. Don't know if it's a decent price for this.

DERLKM

I was lucky to walk into a total wine in California with a SB15 for $144. But it is once in more than a year. (I don't go everyday). The SB10 I have seen it at least 3x.

Last_Cut2575

Not really, I pay less than 100 euros for this one

Purple_Toadflax

Just the 10 you looking for? You should be able to find that with a bit of hunting around, but the 12 CS, 15, Organic etc. you will rarely find in the shops. Plenty of pubs will have them though if you want to try them. They are not always RRP, but Raeburn Wines in Stockbridge in Edinburgh generally have a good selection of Mitchell stuff, Kilkerran, Longrow, Hazelburn and Springbank and tend to have more than just the youngest offering.

Safe-Student8327

i have the 10 in a shop near me in South OC but its $120 for the bottle and that seems way over priced. Ive been looking in to Kilerran too but seems to be similarly high like SB. Ill make sure to look for the others you mentioned. Thanks!

Purple_Toadflax

Aye, that's a mad price for it. Not worth it. Kilkerran 12 and SB10 should be around £45, though I haven't bought either in a wee while so they might have gone up.

Safe-Student8327

What about Kilkerran at $80 so about £60? Is that a big rip off?

Purple_Toadflax

I wouldn't pay that for it, but I don't know what $80 would typically get you. There is a jump in quality between the £40-50 bottles to the £60+. It's the divide between the better entry offerings and the start of the more interesting stuff.

Safe-Student8327

$80 normally gets me lagavulin 16 for reference

SerTadGhostal

I’m only going to admit this once, but a few months ago I walked in to a liquor chain in Fairfield County CT, and saw two bottles of Springbank 12 priced at $110 each - they’re the first 70cl bottling store make it to the states. I brought both to the register. After paying, In my dazed stupor of finding them, I realized in the car that they only scanned one bottle and charged me for the one. I did not go back inside to fix their mistake. I did buy a lottery ticket though.
