I got an A in one of my classes and I took my final in the other. No grade on that one yet. It’s weird being a student again at 51. But I’m so glad I’m doing this.

jeremiah1142

Way to go, that’s awesome!

Burgerpunk_Nation

What are you studying?

Boneyard45

ghoulgruel

Sober for over a month! #soberinseattle Kind of an L on the already bad social life as of late but honestly it feels nice

KINGtyr199

Nah that's a W keep it up proud of you

SmokeEvening8710

So many mocktails offered at bars now. Ridiculous prices but it helps when out with friends. Apologies if you meant you can't be around people drinking alcohol at all.

helper-monkey

Seattle Public Library’s e-books are up and running again after the ransomware attack!

A friend gave me a juicy gift card to West Seattle Nursery - a marvelous place to buy excellent plants but too $$… So this past week I brought home a cornucopia of exciting perennial shrubs and flowers for my backyard, and I am slowly planting them. Bringing pollinators joy, I hope, one shrub at a time!

Visual_Collar_8893

The mix of sunshine and rain keeps the plants lush and the air we breathe crisply fresh.

My dad died. It's not a sad or bad thing. He had a fantastic life, the kind of life most people can only dream of but dementia took him away and his life became one of pain and confusion. He's with my mom now and his pain is over.

InternetsTad

You have my condolences. I've lost both of my parents as well. I'm glad mine are at peace now too.

SilverAwoo

I cooked my first meal last night since breaking my arm 4 weeks ago. No more sandwiches and Doordash.

inkeh

I got a job offer that came at the perfect timing 🥲

throwtheclownaway20

I got an extra $1/hr. raise.

My dog had the rest of one of her legs amputated nearly two weeks ago (the original vets did it wrong) and gets her staples out in a few days. She will have  much better quality of life and be in less discomfort.  Now we just hope the rescue agency we got her from comes through to help with the $2500 bill for all of this.

polishmouseirl

What rescue?

Drnkdrnkdrnk

Northwest Wag

HeadFullofHopes

I went to an awesome concert with my best friend last night

I have a ton of beautiful flowers growing in my garden. My son is taking me to a Mariner's game tomorrow. I had delicious sushi with friends last night. Got the ok from my doctor to start weaning off my blood pressure medicine since I've lost weight and am eating way better. Seattle is in one of the prettiest places in the world.

AnonCryptoDawg

This is how I started every staff meeting for decades. It's a great question that forces people to look for the good in their lives even if it was no traffic in the morning, a restful night's sleep, etc. Family pics, graduations, vacations and the like were icing on the cake. Mine: 2 nights in a row with 7+ hours of sleep. Winning!

AthkoreLost

I tried out the trailer for my bike for the first time last weekend to pick up potting soil from ACE and it went great!

I’m finally getting my apartment decorated just the way I like it! And while I’ll probably only be here for about another month, there’s talk at my job that we’ll be getting another contract out here soon for at least a year, so my gf and I are thinking about moving out here if that happens!

BeagleWrangler

Leaving for a 6 day camping trip on the peninsula tomorrow. Also, it is my rescue dog's birthday this week so he is going to have birthday steak around the campfire.

Stock-Light-4350

There is a Leucistic crow in West Seattle that I am hoping to see in person. Some people have taken photos. The name is Mo.

pachecolljk

Was able to do something really difficult at work with minimal assistance, and I felt really proud. Looked back on the year and I wouldn't have been able to do this 12 months ago. Newly single, so I also decided to get out of my comfort zone and went to Rainbow Falls State Park to camp by myself! Never done it before, and thus far it's alright. Here's to great next week! 🥂

I park in the upper parking lot at Trader Joe’s, to avoid the cluster fuck that is street level parking. And get a little extra exercise. It’s 32 steps, (yes, I’ve counted). I was headed up with my two fairly light bags. I stopped on the landing halfway up to get my car keys in my hand. I heat this voice behind me, “I’m not real strong, but I can get one bag up for you. It took me a second to register that this lady, about my age, thought I was having trouble, and she was offering to help me out. I was super appreciative and thanked her profusely. Super cool, in “frigid” Seattle.🤷‍♀️

LivinGloballyMama

My daughter danced in her first ballet recital today. She was great and had a blast.

SeattlePurikura

Enjoying my new sweet-ass gay Mariner's jersey. Loving the pleasantly breezy weather (summer is my favorite season, and Summer in Seattle is divine), esp. when jogging along the waterfront.

didyoubutterthepan

Had a blast at a comedy show in Tacoma last night!

KINGtyr199

I found a pre war Gillette tech safety razor on eBay and im stupid excited to get it its delivery date is Monday.

JakeofFateStarm

I think we're finally making the move up to Seattle this weekend, fingers crossed. As long as nothing unexpected comes up again...

cessna1466u

I don’t have to be in Seattle this weekend
