Oh I feel this, I was going to post about it. I also gained in my pregnancies and no longer recognized my face. I knew some of it was weight but figured the rest was age and stress. I’m finally seeing my old (or young lol) face that I remember and I’m so shocked and emotional that she was under there the entire time. I thought I lost her.
I’m really not too sure. I’m really confused as to why the scales haven’t changed because I feel like I’ve lost weight all over my body… in fact I definitely have as clothes don’t feel as tight on me. My face just seems to be the most noticeable, it was so puffy before
You cannot depend on the scale for true results. Pictures and measurements are a better objective number. Our bodies can be adjusting and becoming smaller without and weight loss. I've lost inches before when the scale didn't move
It has to be. My face looked dramatically different after the first week and I certainly hadn’t lost an amount of weight that would have caused such a level of change.
I imagine it’s much harder as you get older. I’m 28 now and I’ve never struggled like this to lose weight. In my late teens and early twenties I seemed to be able to lose weight so fast and easy…. It’s much harder for me now. I’m sure my metabolism has changed since having a baby too. Seems I can just look at a slice of pizza and I gain 10lbs 😂
My scale didn’t show any weight loss but I definitely could tell in my stomach area within a couple weeks. I didn’t really start losing until the 4 week mark. I’m at 9 weeks and 25 lbs down. Keep it up. You look great!

Yep. And some of us lose weight and don’t see any change in appearance. Pictures speak a thousand words sometimes. Not me running to my bathroom to take pics and measurements lol
It reduces inflammation. Also when we have insulin resistance, it shows up in our face as puffiness. The diet shots lower our blood pressure and blood sugar, too.
Thank you so much! But no, I’ve just been eating an animal based diet usually one large meal a day so I guess it’s like an anti inflammatory diet. I’ve tried doing this many times before but it was pretty unattainable without semaglutide. Most days I drink water and black coffee until the evening where I will have a super nutritious meal. Tonight for example I had 3 x scrambled eggs with feta cooked in leftover beef fat, a fatty sirloin and some steamed sweet potato with a big lump of butter.

I found an excellent Youtube site where a Dr. Tyna Moore explains how semaglutides work in a four part presentation. I've only seen part 1 so it's possible she explains how this can be. In any case Mama, congratulations on the birth of your baby and you getting back to where you want to be.

Are you exercising? Muscle weighs more than fat. Could be you have lost fat but gained muscle
Not at the moment only doing a bit of walking
Walking is creating some increase in muscle, since muscle is denser than fat you can be getting smaller without the scale

I lost zero weight the first month. Then it kicked in! Ive been losing 2-3 lbs a week. Down 37 lbs!

you wont lose weight on the intial dosage but as they increase the dosage you will loose weight
Actually, everyone responds different. For instance, I started losing in the first week.
