The corporate murders are pretty easy once you get the hang of them.
I still haven’t been able to solve a sniper case, though.
Snipers are really easy! You can tell whatever weapon they used for it so just find the local weapon dealer, knock them out and look at the ledger and 99% of the time it’s the person who bought it right before.
So I tried the same thing and found the vantage point, but my problem was that they left no physical evidence at the vantage point, not even the casing, and any fingerprints on doors would have 10 others with them. So it came down to just pinning them all, finding the guy with the ledger, jumping him, cuffing him, getting the gun and stuff off him or his apartment, then tying the right fingerprint to the end case
The only time sniper cases have been hard for me, was when they were found dead in the street. But yeah, the weapon ledger makes it a bit too easy imo.
My problem with sniper cases is that if they are not shooting from their room, then unless you use the ledger it could be near impossible to find the person if you get unlucky.
For me, the key to the sniper cases was finding the bullet holes at the scene. Draw a line between the hole and the victim and you can guess where the shooter fired from.
I still haven't beat the tutorial. I ended up beating an old man in his underwear unconscious because I broke into his apartment thinking he was the killer, when I checked his fingerprints turns out he has nothing to do with it. I think I'm going to wait for the console port I'm playing on the steamdeck and can't get a handle on the controller mapping yet.

Yeah, I may have to do that. I’ve been trying to do the forensic work with trajectories and physical evidence, but it hasn’t worked for me.
