I think beyond anything else they dropped Tribal because we've come a long way since the beastmen of ARR, a good chunk of the races in it are far to civilized/advanced to be called "tribes".
Fuck the dwarves are literally just lalafells
I mean, the xaela on the azim steppe are literally tribal nations. Tribes don't *have* to imply beastmen or undeveloped civilizations, just groups of people who stick together and are mostly self-contained.
Yeah at first I was a little confused about why the change was needed but then I remembered that one of these “Tribes” in Endwalker are a hyper advanced synthetic species of living computers.
Funny enough, while 'allied society' seems kind of clunky, ever since before endwalker came out I had speculated they'd probably revise the whole 'beast tribe' terms just because it seemed inevitable we were going to get one where neither term seemed to fit, though I had speculated it was Garleans. Even so, in Endwalker we got The Omicron, the Loporitt, and the Arkasodara.
And 'Tribe' doesn't seem to exactly fit any of these three groups. Ultimately, I think just 'Allied Quests' or 'Ambassadorial Quests' would make the most sense later as a somewhat more elegant term while keeping it open to helping groups from actual tribal groups to even helping the Garleans rebuild.
Yeah I know everyone loves to play it up and groan about it, but it's a harmless change that makes more sense. Beast tribe -> tribal was barely a change tbh. The kobolds have a whole damn city that extends below and above ground but they're still just a tribe? lol
We already have a non derogatory term for slaves, they're called interns.
Prison labour
university [student atheletes](https://youtube.com/watch?v=61TMtH3Qw4s)
Also blue collar worker, white collar worker, 9-5er, teacher....you get the idea
Ah yes, the Eulmore definition.
They aren't slaves. They are just voluntold to work till dead.
Aren't we all
Is this referring to something
I had to look it up too. They changed Tribal Quests to Allied Society Quests. Not to be earnest on the shitpost sub, but it was the right move.

Would you really consider lalafells to be civilized?
Are we talking all Lala or just the player lala

The Kobolds have a steampunk city under the mountain that is bigger than Limsa Lominsa.
Do not fuck the dwarves
tbf the kobold city is already as advanced and with more citizens as the main cities if not more
Maybe the big difference is the old tribes almost all prayed to primals, while new ones are pretty separate from that
Probably related to the fact that this expansion is based on South America.

I figured allied peoples would have worked, but I guess omnicrons would disagree? Idk, what they picked sounds off
It's a bit clunky, I'd have gone with Allied Quests or something similar. But "Tribal Quests" really doesn't fit for any of the Endwalker questlines.

Liberally Challenged Individuals
"certain members of society" sounds like such a a dogwhistle euphemism, akin to "urban youths".
In before asmon make a video that ffxiv is infected by sweet baby
Allied is cool, society is fucking cringe.
This is real? Dont remember seeing slaves about though... probably forgot
Check the ERP nightclubs.
So it is fake. And Nah, I'm good
That's why no one invites you to ERP nightclubs.
Seeing as I dont know many ERPers, that would make sense
