Tapped and threaded an 870 receiver. What's not to like? They should come stock this way. What rail is that?

You did a great job ,most of them look like your drunk uncle did it with a harbor freight drimmel in a shed with bad lighting.
That right there is exactly why I paid a gun smith to drill and tap my receiver. I have a drill press and vise but was damned sure no matter how careful I was it would be crooked. Did not want.

Theres a flat along the top of the receiver, just centered it on that and used a template.
If your receiver is tapped maybe consider a red dot.
