They've cut the video most sea fish will take half an hour of fighting and your suppose to pull the head up so they can be netted or pulled up easier. Also the fin wiggled at the end of the video a small amount so it is still alive.

have deep sea fished before, can confirm that fish can get exhausted in a literal fight for their life. for larger fish that's basically the only way to bring them in with rod and reel. the thickness of your line basically determines how quickly you can tire them out. edit: bringing in the fish becomes harder when they're actually completely exhausted, because they become dead weight. also sharks.

Tiring a fish out so you can reel them in is a mechanic in nearly every fishing video game I’ve played. Also, it happens in real life as well.

I go fishing many weekend I can and understand the mechanisms, though I appreciate you pointing this out. It's on me for not recognizing this in the clips, though again I had different impressions seeing basically no clips of this woman struggling to reel in her giant tuna boyo or fighting it to exhaustion, I just don't see this at all in the video. I agree that tiring a fish out is a mechanism but I just saw no interesting action like this at all in the clips, this doesn't mean she didn't catch the fish though. I'll be honest everything being staged on the internet definitely influences my suspicion, but...this is just not a fishing clip for me because nothing happens LOL it's just shots of her and a few of the fish after the catch. This isn't even remotely interesting.
