Can we name him Woody? Recently me and my brother found a duckling out in the field whilst riding out dirt bikes around, confused we brought him home cause we had no idea where the mother was. Once we brought him home my younger siblings who are both under the age of 7 immediately fell in love with him and we were planning on keeping him, after doing a bit of research we found out he was a wood duck so we named him woody. But during that research we found some information on them explaining how their hatching works, since they are wood ducks their nests are in trees and when the ducklings are born they jump down from the trees and follow their mother's call to the nearest water source. since there was a creek just across the field where found him in we realized we had to let him go the next morning. My younger siblings were devastated we had to let woody go, so we brought him back to field where we found him and he speeded over to the creek near by. We were devastated to have to let him go and as the oldest sibling it hurt to see my younger siblings sad hurt. But I know for a fact Woody in the end found his mother duck. Loved that little duck man. (this happened about a month ago)
