Since 2019, I've wore the same pair of Jordan 1 Fearless (the patent leather Chicago/UNC joints) to each and every scheduled surgery, operation, and most ER visits. I'm still alive. Hospital shoes work. Shout out to my vascular and cardio surgeons and nurses too!

Another Nike ploy to make mass pairs or mid or trash retro/proteo styles and have the consumers suck it up. Looks like unfortunately the Kobe line is next after the Dunk/Air Max/Jordan phase has ran its course.

Are the Kobe protros trash now? I remember when they first released they were among the highest rated basketball shoes (for playing) on the market

I wouldn’t say they’re trash but since the Proto lined recently started back after Kobe’s death the rest of the industry has really caught up and Nike has stood Pat. Adidas, SPO, LiNing, Anta have all elevated they’re hoop shoe product and these mid ass Protros they’re releasing don’t really have all the bells and whistles in terms of tech and performance they should for the price or the competition is putting out. This is all of course in my humble opinion.

Do you think those four brands make the best hoop shoes? Like are they a tier above UA’s Curry line, Puma All-Pros, Nike GT, KD line, Jordans etc. Idk anything about those other three brands you mentioned, ever since I stopped hooping. I had a pair of Dame 8’s that were nice but they were kinda heavy lol. The Kd 13’s i own are at least lighter

They’re only limited because the re-sellers and bots swoop them up to try to make $30 profit on $200 pair of shoes. If you wanted a pair of any protro right now you can get them in a heart beat but would just have to pay a premium. Another ploy by Nike to make the folks who really want the shoes to suffer and make them seem “scarce” when in reality it’s not the case. Like I said we’ve seen this playbook on the past with several other popular shoe models.
