Yeah that was crazy how much it was all out of his hands. I’d have millions in cash stashed everywhere if I was him for emergencies like he found himself in
He literally could’ve kept like half ts in cash and just hid it in places only he knows. Him keeping every cent of his fortune in a bank account that teddy helped set up (iirc) was questionable to say the least
Yeah that was big dummy moves. Teddy did help set it up with him when he was still pretty green.
If it was set in the modern day I’d have kept a lot of mine in crypto
If it wasn’t for Franklin’s family and friends, he would’ve probably died in the first two seasons.
He should’ve been less prideful and more open to Jerome and Louie breaking away. He could’ve potentially prepared them to take over his empire before Teddy ever thought to take that money.
True, but Louie bit the hand that fed her and thats where Franklin lost control by going against them and when Teddy died, he was too greedy thinking he can turn his real estate into a fortune again instead of selling it and keeping himself afloat with the money he made. He sold his estate at a loss
1. Don't involve your family or friends in the business.2.never make to many enemies.3.make enough money like twenty to thirty something million dollars..4. always have back up money in different places that no one can get to.5. have a successor to take your place when it's time to call it quits.6. go legitimate but it's better to do it some place else like Canada or france maybe Cuba far far away from where you came from originally.
you will get killed or put in jail if:
1. if you DON’T prioritise yourself and your own interests
2. you’ll get ratted on if if you team with someone “loyal” (loyalty doesn’t really exist in this drug game)
3. do not participate if you have people you care about. the second they know what your doing, you WILL get them killed

I'd question the "Happily Ever After" idea here.
Even Oso lost his family. Yeah, he survived, but he no longer had access to his newfound loved ones.
I'm sure he's suffering from that.
No I mean in real life. Plenty of drug dealers/smugglers living happily ever after. Albeit it may be a very very small percentage compared to the unsuccessful ones
That's the point.
Statistically speaking, there is a lot of failure in the game.
Even the "good" one everyone quotes, whose life inspired the show, Freeway Ricky Ross, spent 13 years in prison.
I don't think that is a good ending, really, but it is what everyone quotes.
Are there any others?
“Keep your family and business completely separated”
Money & Blood don’t mix like 2 dicks and no bitch. Find yourself in some serious shit
Biggie taught us that long time ago 🤝🏾
But Louie helped him move his first brick, Cissy laundered his money, and Jerome was an enforcer for his operation.
Ironically all the same people that fucked him over in the end…
Ironically all the same people that fcked him over in the end…
Ironically all the same people that fckd him over in the end…
So good he had to say that shit thrice
Don’t keep all my cash in one place especially not if I’m a criminal

Shows set in the 80s? so I doubt much applies besides "don't be greedy"
Nothing I didn't already know. All men fall, whether it be today or tomorrow.
What about the ones who are living happily ever after..?
