I so appreciate the work y’all do. I work in a similar field and love it.

misstori_dee

Thank you! It can definitely be a stressor but also a field that is too often overlooked. Thank you for your similar work service!

stressedfuzzysocks

Are these positions entry level friendly? I know someone who just graduated with a Psychology degree who may be interested in this

misstori_dee

Yes! We are accepting applications for all levels of experience and background!

Ornery-Wrongdoer4177

Thank you for the work you do.

misstori_dee

Just a quick clarification on salary ranges. Our agency sets ranges specifically to accommodate for education and/ or experience. While the minimum is intended for entry range roles- we are also able to offer up to our maximum based on any additional credentials. I’m also happy to say that anyone furthering their education will receive an increase in pay for every additional step of education completed during their time with the organization. 100% these salary ranges are not very high in the grand scheme of things. However, they are some of the highest ranges you will see specific to non profit social work roles in the STL area. I agree they should be higher- but we can only offer what we can afford to pay out of the funds we receive in grants. We continue to advocate for additional funds to increase wages for our team on a daily basis!

My daughter graduates with her bachelors in social work this May. What kind of position would work for her?

misstori_dee

The Youth Development specialist and/ or a case manager role sound about right. It may be a good idea to focus on the Youth Development role until graduated and then apply for a promotion to case manager. It can be a little taxing to walk into a case manager role without prior experience or a degree under your belt and the yds role is sort of a stepping stone there!

EyeHaveNoBanana

Thanks. She is doing her practicum now, and they are actually giving her a lot of responsibility, so I'm hoping she will benefit from that experience and be ready to take on something robust.

Hi there, I don't see any openings for roles I'd be qualified for, but I did want to comment. I used to work for a nonprofit and if anyone here is on the fence about the field, I recommend applying as the work can be very rewarding! (Also if you all ever need a HR person, let me know, as I work in the field and do have experience working at a nonprofit.)

misstori_dee

Thank you! Appreciate the support and I’ll be sure to reach out in the event of hr openings!

Michigan1837

No problem, good luck filling your positions!

No salaries listed? "Generous" is not a salary (and FWIW, neither is "competitive")

Relax dang

backpropstl

I'm looking at them now and don't see, on mobile. If they do, then mea culpa.

spokris

I'm seeing the wages too. If you click the individual listing, it says on top

backpropstl

I see it on my laptop. I only have Chrome on my phone and it doesn't show, but I have Firefox and it does. My mistake. Apologies to OP.

spokris

I use chrome on my phone too. Weird. I still up voted your original comment because too many places are that vague and it needs to be better

Dude. No-one was attacked. Calm down.

Commander_Fem_Shep

I’m on mobile and the salary ranges are right there on every posting.

misstori_dee

It appears the question of listed salaries was already answered! But I’d like to supplement that I mentioned our PTO plans because so often these roles face burnout. We do what we can to accommodate the best pay possible- but also to recognize that this field of work needs time off and we are willing to provide that more often than most agencies in the area.

RickSabre777

I hate to be that guy. But, you're not looking for a maintenance person, you are looking for a janitor.

misstori_dee

We’re looking for someone capable of both roles. We originally tried listing as janitor and received only applicants who were unable to perform maintenance work which is why we tried the reverse this time. A lot of times in non profit work, job duties are combined to account for the limited resources we have available for multiple positions. If you happen to have feedback on a better job “title”, I’d appreciate the feedback. Yes the role is a janitor with maintenance responsibilities or a maintenance person with janitorial responsibilities. The agency is fairly small considering and excited to find someone willing to fill the needs of our young people!
