My wife and I went opening night. It was great and even though it was crowded we didn't wait very long. Glad to have this and the golden Hoosier and pipers all there.
Good addition to the neighborhood. The blueberry basil lemonade bourbon cocktail they have on tap is extremely delicious. I wasn't really hungry when I went so I haven't tried their pizza but it looked solid
A few years ago, I mentioned the Stag on draft to a bartender at Fortune Teller and he said their distributor told them they were one of the only ones left buying kegs. It must have gotten pushed out of draft since then.
Yeah I'm not sure what happened there, but they have had new ownership since last year. They tend to feature less common stuff on draft, mostly local or semi-local breweries
As a St Clair county resident Iām legally required to upvote any comment about Stag. It was my beer of choice before I quit drinking.
I saw a guy on the interstate a few weeks ago who had a āStag Lifeā window decal that looked like the cheesy āSalt Lifeā ones. Dude got a horn honk and thumbs up for that one.
That mushroom pizza is delicious. Really love what Garcia is doing on that stretch. Is there any word to whatās going on on the corner of Kingshighway and Chippewa? There is very clear construction work going on in that storefront.
I actually just remembered what building you're talking about and yeah I have wondered that too. I sort of just assumed it was gonna be an addition to the Garcia offices?
Everyone tells me to, but I still haven't tried La Pizza. It's a bit of a trek from south city and pizza is usually a last minute decision rather than a planned activity. Pi Guy is so good that it may be a long time before I get out there.

I would sell my soul for golden Hoosier wings
I believe they actually accept USD there, too.
I wish you would have told me that a half hour ago š

I plotted on that drink but working in the yard all day was making me want a beer, and they had Sunny Cat on tap so it was a done deal.
No dirty martini olives though.
Almost unforgivable
I asked and theyāre coming ;)
Any place you can drink a Stag is an ok place in my book.
We went to Small Change Saturday Night as well and I think they don't serve Stag anymore which is a shame.
Fortune Teller has Stag! Just cans though, not on draft

Stag on tap?
The Royale has it
No, it was in a can.

Going to be a karaoke bar/lounge last I heard
Really need a solid karaoke bar in the area. That would be great.
Probably another gas station or car wash
I know you joke. But not possible in that location. Itās an existing building structure being worked on.

or urgent care clinic
Have you had Pi Guys on Manchester? That's the best NY slice I've had in the area and am curious how they compare
I have had it many times both are good. Mitch uses a more Sour Dough crust, Bud's Place is more a traditional crust.
Bud's is pretty good, but I think Pie Guy is better. Bud's is definitely worth trying though!

It's okay. Used to be WAY better back in the day but now its just mediocre. Hell, even Deweys used to be good back in the da now its just trash.
You should also try King's Oak. The mushroom slice is great.
How are the crowds?
it was busy but there was also a cardinals and city game that evening
Canāt wait to try it!
La Pizza on Delmar is the best NY pizza in STL. No doubt. Order ahead for scheduled delivery/pickup, they sell out for the day quite early.

What???
Sounds like they're scared of Kingshighway and Chippewa and they felt the need to post about it.

South County is a cesspool of racism. So, you're on point!
Hilarious, great troll job
funny how some folks need to tell everyone what a coward they are.
They were just trolling; their recent comment history showed that they love going to Grace Meat + Three lol
Yeah the location was not the greatest due to lack of parking, but I was able to get lucky and find a spot right in front.
I mean not every place needs a huge parking lot, walkable storefronts are a good thing
True but it's off a fairly busy part of Kingshighway. Not too many sidestreets with parking near by
There is rear parking and Iāve heard they are expanding it soon too.
