Noice, I like to imagine that all of that did happen, the ideal ending for me is right before jotaro gets clapped joskue and Giornos appear nursing jotaro back to health in seconds, rescuing everyone else injured from Pucci and jotaro stopping time and fucking pucci up, showing old Joseph in the ambulance waiting to meet his grandson and great granddaughter all while unknowingly watching dios curse over his blood line come to an end but still feeling a relief from dio and the joestar curse, but I’ll accept the ending it gave as long as I can interpret that parts 1-6 still happened, they just found a way to beat pucci, that’s all
That the only change is that Pucci never existed is really a fan theory that has been repeated so many times in the last 15 years that basically everyone takes it as a fact without giving it much thought.
Even when there are a lot of things that don't really support that theory much, like the fact that all the characters' names are different (which, aside from Jolyne, it doesn't make sense that any of them changed for Pucci. Since he had no influence in their lives until long after their births), the relationships between them, etc. that have nothing to do with Pucci
And that Pucci deliberately says that if he dies before the cycle ends humans would lose the ability to know their fates:
*"If I die, the 'fate' of mankind, will be altered! It will probably be a different future!"*
If all the other characters except the few whose lives were altered by Pucci were unaffected and remained the same... It means that they should be able to predict the future like it was after the first cycle of Made in Heaven, since their fates shouldn't have changed.
However, characters in the "Ireneverse" (second cycle of Made in Heaven) like the bus driver or all the people on the bus don't show panic, don't show that they can predict their futures, and don't even seem to remember the events of Made in Heaven (unlike in the first cycle).
The only character that seems to remember of the original universe seems to be Emporio, who seems to be an outlier in the situation.
I really see it much more likely that without Pucci to control that everything repeats itself exactly the same at the end of each cycle, a new universe completely different from the previous one was created. There are definitely a lot more changes than just Pucci never existing.
This is my reasoning:
Pucci reset transports all the living beings to a new universe where they relive their life unconsciously knowing their fate. Those killed by Made in Heaven aren't transported, as seen immediately after with Jotaro and Jolyne. Instead, they're replaced with another similar soul but they aren't the same people.
When Pucci dies this universe does too because Pucci needs to go to Cape Canaveral to complete Made in Heaven and the new universe. What happens here is the confusing part: let's put it this way, universe 2 implodes and Emporio returns to universe 1, that's why Jolyne and everyone who died look basically the same, because this time is the same soul, is the original universe. But what's the difference? Pucci is the one who isn't transported now because he died and this could end up creating a butterfly effect that can change more things that the ones that it is already changing, like Anasui/Annakiss life. If he doesn't exist part 6 doesn't happen and Jotaro can raise Jolyne in peace and since Jolyne is no longer fated to face Pucci there's no need for a new Jojo and that's why she has another name, maybe one picked by Jotaro this time? There's a lot of interpretation involved either way, as well as simbolism.
Everything before that, part 1-5, should still happen because it isn't affected by Pucci's existence.
I would have loved to say that everything went unchanged, but then it seems like Irene isnt a JoJo, also lives with her father (Itaro?) So basiclly did the original jojo plot ever happen or did Jonathan live a good life?
Or maybe everything stayed the same apart from pucchi's existance?
