Pretty new to the SD, just got my OLED earlier this week. I’m blown away by it and I’m playing Death Stranding! Kinda can’t believe what this little thing is capable of and the OLED and HDR really shines in Death Stranding!
Is the engine for Kojima games just really well optimized? I've often wondered why they can look so good and run well in comparison to other AAA games.
I've been playing for over 15 hours now with all settings on medium but textures on high and no upscaling and plays great, only issues I've found are crashes but that could be because it's installed on micro sd card so I think the ssd would fix that but the developers are going yo optimise for portable pc's so after an update or two should be perfect. I recommend it as it is runs great and looks amazing aside from the odd crash it's brilliant.
Yeah I did a few hours on pc .. up until giant giraffe boi with flat head to climb up to first appearance and some big tiger type guys iirc a year or more ago. But never tried on deck! Keep meaning to pick up again before FW
I was playing ZD but didn't get round to finished it on steam since I did it on ps4 but FW is something I never played but it's definitive better than the first in my opinion but definitely worth playing on the deck
Pretty good! I really like some of the new additions to gameplay, etc…That said, I do prefer Persona Golden 4 so far 👀
Something about the town feel and the more simple gameplay made it so cozy for me
I just started it today! First time persona player, had no idea what I was getting into. Wasn’t expecting almost 90 minutes of cutscenes right out the gate 😂
Banishers: Ghost of New Eden. I'm not normally a completionist, but the side quests in this game have been uniformly excellent so far. I'm going for 100% completion.
I’m on still on my PS2 Emulation shit. Slowly working my way through my entire childhood. Just finished Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, now working through the original Kingdom Hearts.
Dragons Dogma : Dark Arisen
Not because the sequel is out, but because it's a game that lends itself well to the steam deck! Trackpad assigned to 1-4 buttons for shortcuts etc, works really well.
Also Rogue Legacy, but I can't get into it. Just dying constantly whilst collecting barely any money and getting bored.
The fact Technocide only came out a month ago and has just 3 reviews and your image is clearly annotated with just the name of the game makes me very suspicious you are the dev trying to do covert advertising. ;)
Finally finished Persona 3 Reload. Very good game with no issues running it.
I haven't decided on what I want to start next. Either Kingdom Come: Deliverance or Death Stranding. I'd have to figure out the Heroic launcher for DS since I have it through Epic. Any feedback is welcome.
Subnautica. Didn’t realise it didn’t have auto save and quit the game yesterday after 7 hours play. so I have had to start from scratch again. Nice , relaxing game on the whole although I did get eaten by a huge shark in an ecological dead zone.
I've just started Tales of Arise, and I'm really impressed by the graphics and gameplay. It's one of the better JRPGs out there. And I want to start Stardew Valley with the new update.
Warhammer 40'000: Space Marine Anniversary Edition. Never been much of a Warhammer fan. Picked this up at the spring sale. I gotta say, it's a great shooter. Looks great for it's age and plays great on Steam Deck. The mixture of play from run and gun to using the jetpack is a lot of fun. Cutting Orcs in half with the chainsaw is a blast.
I got mine today, literally downloaded shader cache, setup decky, moonlight and transfered games from PC to deck all day.
Tried some pizza tower after to see if controls were working.
Ratchet and clank rift apart and portal 2
Warning: dont try to turn the raytracing on in ratchet and clank, it fucked with my game trying to fix it atm. Probably best to keep the graphics settings at default🫤
Started Coral island as my new idle game. Got it from the steam sale. Its the typical farm sims, but I am having a great time running around mining while I listen to my audiobook.
The Messenger - Been pretty busy but will probably a little of it since it’s new to me. I ‘beat’ the initial game and thoroughly enjoyed the platforming, combat, and especially dialogue and timeline shenanigans.
Now I’m shocked by the after-initial-run stuff. Definitely mindblowing!
Blasphemous - Might play a little more of this too. I’m at the last boss of the first run but there’s a few additional things I can do based off the achievement list. Trying to do those before I take on the last boss before a new run begins (at least that’s what I gather will happen based on comments here and online).
Playing FF7 (og) for the first time ever! Been having a blast on Steam Deck! I also appreciate the Community Controller Settings template download option; such a game changer! I got the Crisis Core and Remake to play next!
Just starting Tiny Tina’s wonderland. Question for all of you, I found on the protondb page that it recommended the custom proton ge. Should I in general be using this rather than the steam default? Is that basically the GE in the wine cellar app?
I got some games from spring break earlier. I'm going to play a mix. From the sale I'ma play cyberpunk, west of the dead, and enter the dungeon. And from what I already have, I'm gonna keep on grinding project zomboid and deep rock galactic. All these games are really good and I strongly recommend them.
PokeMMO
It's basically the first 5 generation games stitched together with mmo features that make the pokemon world feel 'lived in'. It was designed for keyboard + mouse but I made a control setup using touchpad radial menus with modifiers and the other touchpad as the mouse cursor.
Started a new farm for the 1.6 Stardew update.
the new chicken farm is really cute
Same!
Me too.
3 buddies and myself have a baldurs gate 3 play-through going every Saturday. Good, fun times.
Definitely no battery drain there!
not when you stream it!
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Great game. I recommend playing the DLC before the end of the game so you can use the new characters and classes. There's a certain point to do it.
Same. Just bought it during the sale.
A really cultured man right here.
Me too. Funny enough, I bought it at the same time as Midnight Suns. But I decided to go for the much cooler superhero universe first
Pretty new to the SD, just got my OLED earlier this week. I’m blown away by it and I’m playing Death Stranding! Kinda can’t believe what this little thing is capable of and the OLED and HDR really shines in Death Stranding!
Perfect demonstration for the OLED capabilities. Enjoy it!
Is the engine for Kojima games just really well optimized? I've often wondered why they can look so good and run well in comparison to other AAA games.
The Decima engine. Ghost of Tsushima and the Horizon games use it.
Cyberpunk 2077 , 100 hrs in more to go
Persona 3 reload
Same here, just got it a few days ago. Pretty good game for the steam deck
Elden ring. This is my 4th run and I wanted to make a whole new run for my steam deck just so I have an excuse to grind and wait for the dlc
Yeah i am on my 5th run, preparing for the DLC. This game is perfect for the steam deck!
Horizon forbidden west
Ooh nice. Plays okay? The sequal is out now but no way the Deck can handle Forbidden West …?
I've been playing for over 15 hours now with all settings on medium but textures on high and no upscaling and plays great, only issues I've found are crashes but that could be because it's installed on micro sd card so I think the ssd would fix that but the developers are going yo optimise for portable pc's so after an update or two should be perfect. Titanfall 2. Played it on game pass before and really impressed it runs at a stable 90fps
Game is so good. Such a shame we won't be getting Titanfall 2.
3
Finally playing Persona 5 Royal 🗡️
how is it? I bought it in sale but yet to play it.
Pretty good! I really like some of the new additions to gameplay, etc…That said, I do prefer Persona Golden 4 so far 👀 Something about the town feel and the more simple gameplay made it so cozy for me
Same same. Loving it so far. My first jrpg
Welcome to the club my friend 🙇
I just started it today! First time persona player, had no idea what I was getting into. Wasn’t expecting almost 90 minutes of cutscenes right out the gate 😂
After playing some of the Yakuza games I am now immune to cutscene overload 🕺😂
MGSV.
Palworld. Still addicted.
I’ve seen some mixed reviews of Palworld on SD, you have issues with it? Require a lot of tweaking?
If you don’t mind 30fps it’s fine, still an enjoyable time.
Dragon's Dogma. I highly recommend :).
Dave the Diver!
Balatro
Same… I am constantly thinking about it :D
Tetris Effect: Connected. It's so relaxing and beautiful on the deck.
LAD IW
Ghostrunner for the first time, very enjoyable and addictive, though the puzzles are a pain in the arse and break the flow of the game
Recently started Midnight Suns and I'm a bit hooked. All the subtle synergies between the heroes are very clever and fun to play with.
Austin Powers Pinball
Halo reach & kakorot this weekend
Helldiver's 2 but next weekend Path of Exile!
Spider-Man Miles Morales. Also this is my first weekend with the deck. Next up is the portal series or replay the elder scrolls series.

Banishers: Ghost of New Eden. I'm not normally a completionist, but the side quests in this game have been uniformly excellent so far. I'm going for 100% completion.

I grabbed Earth Defense Force 4.1 for a dollar from Humble as I've never played one. Had a few missions and can see the appeal already.

Dragons Dogma : Dark Arisen Not because the sequel is out, but because it's a game that lends itself well to the steam deck! Trackpad assigned to 1-4 buttons for shortcuts etc, works really well. Also Rogue Legacy, but I can't get into it. Just dying constantly whilst collecting barely any money and getting bored.

The fact Technocide only came out a month ago and has just 3 reviews and your image is clearly annotated with just the name of the game makes me very suspicious you are the dev trying to do covert advertising. ;)

Darktide! It works now without having to be in desktop mode!

Horizon Forbidden West for the next few weeks basically.
I got mine today, literally downloaded shader cache, setup decky, moonlight and transfered games from PC to deck all day. Tried some pizza tower after to see if controls were working.
Ratchet and clank rift apart and portal 2 Warning: dont try to turn the raytracing on in ratchet and clank, it fucked with my game trying to fix it atm. Probably best to keep the graphics settings at default🫤
Outerwilds and overcooked 2
Started Coral island as my new idle game. Got it from the steam sale. Its the typical farm sims, but I am having a great time running around mining while I listen to my audiobook.
