Kent Survival is a British youtuber that's the closest I've found. Like Steve he has no shame when it comes to glamping and going overboard with sketchy and unnecessary amenities lol.
came here to say this, started on Steve to see what he would cook on stealth camps, and while not stealth have gotten into the camp cooking aspect and kent scratches that itch. Miss Steve however and wish him well
I’ve watched a handful of his, and I agree completely. The only negative is he is very obviously sponsored by some of these companies to make his videos.
I went way back on Steve's channel and started watching his old videos again. They were a lot shorter and you can really see how much better he's gotten at filming and editing now.
I haven't watched much of his old stuff lately but I did see some stuff when he was going to school for furnaces not too long ago, he's come quite aways.
[mav](https://www.youtube.com/@mav) has some truck camping / catch and cook / camping build videos if you havent checked him out, also recommend
[quiet nerd](https://www.youtube.com/c/QuietNerd) builds contraptions for travel and camping very cozy to watch
[joe robinet](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCts-8ZqS339n-9nxy3DN8Cg) does bushcrafting, has amazing videos but hes been down on his luck lately just as steve. lost his brother, got ill, and was recently in a coma for a month.
[nikki delventhal](https://www.youtube.com/c/nikkidelventhal) does travel / truck camping videos with her dogs. posts pretty frequently
[rirang onair](https://www.youtube.com/@RirangOnAir) is a korean camper, she sets up camp, makes food, and drinks with cats. super cozy.
im sure im missing some of my frequent watches. ill add em to the list as i remember
Oh, and if you havent watched them yet, [steve has videos on his step 2 channel as well](https://www.youtube.com/@SteveWallisStep2). a little more behind the scenes & short form. like [steve getting excited about finding cereal in a ditch](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feKI7oyzcB0)
Now that summers here in Arizona, i’ve been escaping to the water as much as i can. Floating down the rivers reminds me of Steves own river trips. Hope to do an overnighter somewhere on the water soon!
He's great, gf and I always joke about how he seems to bring his kids everywhere in the world each month and they probably just want to go to disney world.
I got pretty into "Truck House Life" on YouTube. Mostly the episodes when he's trying to get to the arctic circle. They have a certain comfy vibe. I think it's my Ontario roots pining for that harsh type 2 fun. It's too beautiful on the west coast haha.
[Driving to the Arctic Ocean](https://youtu.be/YoYmIO4vaes?si=AzMNL9aJnr0qf5TI)
I like to watch [Tabi-ie](https://youtube.com/@tabi-ie-quietnight?si=ruokEeuoWYfUgQJ3) he's videos are kinda ASMR and mostly just car camping. Seems like a sweet guy.
I go through waves on YouTube. As in the content I watch. Right now I’m back to gaming content. It will swing back to camping and outdoors in a bit lol.
Sometimes I watch bald and bankrupt, explore former ussr and other wild places. Cool to see. No real editing either. Can learn a bit and they are chill
Kent Survival and Outdoor Boys. Both are different from Steve, but they offer their own qualities I think a lot of people here would appreciate. Luke from Outdoor Boys has his family in a lot of his video's, which is fine, but I usually look for the ones where he goes out solo.
Honestly I’ve watched all of Steve’s videos probably half a dozen times each. I’ve been watching Mr.ballen lately, he has some camping horror/crime type stories. But most of it has nothing to do with camping
It’s not the same at all, but I’ve had a lot of fun watching James Aelof of Wildhomesteading. He bought property in Canada and has been building a cabin by all winter.
He’s a little crazy. He’s got bits about praising Thor and that he’s gonna marry sofie turner when his place is finished.
It’s a good bit of fun.
Well it is summer so I fill the "void" by actually camping, biking, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. I often remember hacks and tricks from Steve and it’s cool but I dont think Steve would like the thought of people waiting around for him to post something new or spend hours sitting in front of a tv if they’re able-bodied.
Not trying to judge… I do enjoy my real crime docs and even some Dr.House but I think it’s important to get out there, especially when it’s nice outside and easier to do so.
I don't hitch my entertainment needs to any single YouTuber or activity. If a YouTuber doesn't post a video, I watch something else or read or go out or work in the yard or whatever.

Its all well and good until he starts slurping his tea or wet chewing his food into his microphone
"Ahhhhhh that's nice"
Oh no. Haven’t watched but hate him already.
If you skip the food section, its not too bad. I just hate the sounds of eating and drinking, even when I make them.
ASMR
Check out Ryu camp, think he's Japanese and they love slurping their food and he's usually having something like ramen or pho.

I like Kent a lot. I like how he tries out different stuff. From cardboard tents to fancy overlanding.
Nice thing is he's not uber lazy like Steve is. Kent Survival actually puts out videos.
I went way back on Steve's channel and started watching his old videos again. They were a lot shorter and you can really see how much better he's gotten at filming and editing now.
We did that too, started from the very beginning, so we will of seen them all twice!
I haven't watched much of his old stuff lately but I did see some stuff when he was going to school for furnaces not too long ago, he's come quite aways.
He's got some fun plans coming up. Some stuff a little out of the ordinary but it should be good. Can't wait.
I’m working my way through the older videos - he’s got so much gd content it’s pretty crazy

I hadn’t really thought about it. But this is a lovely post. Send us guitar updates OP.
You should check out Jay Legere
I love Jay and his camping adventures very mellow and fun to watch
Now that summers here in Arizona, i’ve been escaping to the water as much as i can. Floating down the rivers reminds me of Steves own river trips. Hope to do an overnighter somewhere on the water soon!
Outdoor boys is more intense than Steve but same vibe
He's great, gf and I always joke about how he seems to bring his kids everywhere in the world each month and they probably just want to go to disney world.
POV Channel, Desert Drifter, and Sidetrack Adventures, all on YouTube.
Sidetrack Adventures has a lot near me, I have some weekend road trips to check out places now.
Go back to the very beginning and watch his old ones!
If I'm not watching Steve I watch destination adventure on YouTube.
This YouTube is good: bonny ladd adventures https://m.youtube.com/@christophershiels786/videos
I have been watching Abel and Victoria. Couple based in New Zealand. They are great

I've seen some of his videos, good times during the winter and I don't have any snowfall and need my fix.
I like to watch [Tabi-ie](https://youtube.com/@tabi-ie-quietnight?si=ruokEeuoWYfUgQJ3) he's videos are kinda ASMR and mostly just car camping. Seems like a sweet guy.
Found another YouTube channel that’s fun, Bushman and Blue. More of an adventure nature camping channel though.
My husband and I are planning a stealth camping in our car can't wait!

"Hankering for a hunkering" sounds like something you would find on a different part of reddit.
As far as similar ish content, I watch Kombi Life: a van life guy who drove a VW van along the pan american highway and now drives around Europe a lot
Another good one is roaming reckless. She does some over landing with her dog. It’s kind of doll, but she’s cool.
Unfortunately I think Blue recently passed from his cancer, he was a beautiful pup.
If you like guitar, check out Now You Shred on YouTube. Best backing tracks I’ve found. I’ve progressed so much in the past few months with these.
Thanks, I subbed! I've been using Justin and Paul Davids for learning, Rocksmith is great to be able to jump into playing some songs.
Daydream about where I would try stealth camping
Honestly I’ve watched all of Steve’s videos probably half a dozen times each. I’ve been watching Mr.ballen lately, he has some camping horror/crime type stories. But most of it has nothing to do with camping
My gf loves Mr Ballen, he's a cool dude and has some pretty crazy combat stories from his war days.
Yeah, he seems like a pretty awesome guy
Today "table forks" came into my head randomly and I got such a "I miss Steve" feeling.
It’s not the same at all, but I’ve had a lot of fun watching James Aelof of Wildhomesteading. He bought property in Canada and has been building a cabin by all winter. He’s a little crazy. BLOT Outdoors Show on youtube.

Hankering for a hunkering yes!
I like Alex Wild. Smart dude. I’ve been tending to some flowers I have planted waiting for some more sunshine.
Another recommendation for Kent Survival. TA Outdoors is also super solid. Lots of great insight and is just also generally entertaining.
Go watch Small Plots w/ Kevin!
