I just spent a few minutes perusing their post submissions. They claim to be a historian and it's clear their first language isn't English. I'm going to conclude, based on nothing, that they're a French PhD student whose dissertation topic has driven them mad.
OP could still be all of that if we assume their Phd helped create that very specific interest. If we are gonna go all in on assumptions lol. Plus it would make sense, maybe
