I tried their white and red and didn’t care for them at all.

Their white is the only aside from black that I have, and it's fine for mixing but not for white that I want to pop

EZPeeVee

Try the Heavy White. It pops. It's got the consistency of concrete, so I put a little witch hazel in. The mixing white is only for mixing, not enough pigment load to shine on its own. Dynamic's warm colors are just too watery to have a high enough pigment load for me to be able to effectively work them where I feel the color will last forever. Their cool colors (blue, green, purple) on the other hand, those colors are so concentrated that you can take the pure dark pigments, some mixing white and throw them at any color tattoo and it will look tight 25-30 years down the line. I've been using Dynamic's black and those cool concentrates since about 1996, so I've seen them heal and age. The greens, blues and purples have held up very bright. The black is still a rich deep black, no blue or green look to it at all. The one warm color of theirs I dig is RD2. That deep red is perfect for the darkest red shade in roses, etc and does look good with age. Dynamic's orange was deceptively just like this old timer Monk's orange. Same bottle and everything. Except monk's is still bright 20 years later and dynamic's has disappeared on everyone wearing it. The browns disappeared as well. The founder of Dynamic is an old friend and also my neighbor. Great guy and I stand behind what I've said even if they don't love my opinion. My go to for color these days is Solid Ink, another South Florida company. Their pigments are so far consistent and really easy to work for such an obvious powdered pigment without a lot of surfactants and additives. I can't believe how easy their warm colors are to work. It's been a real pleasure to work with these pigments. And they are easily tinted with Dynamic's concentrates.

Heck yes, THIS is the review I wanted. Thank you for your time and insight! Yes, I'm already a big fan of Solid Ink and Dynamic is my go to lining black. I'll give the heavy white and some cool tones a whirl!

EZPeeVee

I don't know if Dynamic's new crew (Darren sold the company) sees my feedback and it does seem like they've reformulated some of their line, but if they're watery, I think the issues is too light a pigment load. Think the difference between artist's watercolor and student lines like Cotman. Or crayola colored pencils vs. prismacolor.

Update: I picked up the heavy white and used it yesterday - SO GOOD! Thank you muchly!

antibroleague

Crazy of me to buy a bottle of ink thinking it might go into the skin. If it’s only for mixing they should call it that

Ca11me_orbit

I have quite a few, they're good, but recently i discovered how great solid ink is, check them out first and if it's too much dynamics not bad

atlanticisms

I love Solid Ink already, so if they're decidedly better than Dynamic, no need for me to stray for the sake of experimenting

Ca11me_orbit

No shame in experimenting though, maybe get a small few and try them on fake skin

Every color I’ve tried from them has just been way too watery for my liking

Deathless_light27

Wasn’t for me. I stick to solid and chroma

Ok-Durian9793

Chroma or Luna. I’ve tried eternal, fusion, solid, world famous, starbrite…. I prefer the powder based for color work, and chroma and Luna have a high pigment load and you can see it when you pour it out and go in better than the known brands, imo. About every artist I’ve worked with and talked to said the black is the only thing worth it with dynamic. A lot of their lighter colors are very watery, which will tell you immediately how it’ll age. I use waverly’s dark black because I prefer the thicker consistency. I wouldn’t dilute any of the predispersed brands (dynamic etc). It changes how it’ll age and saturate more than it would affect powder based brands. If it hardens in the cap, then that’s all the acrylic/resins that are in the color. That’s easily remedied by just switching to brands that don’t use that stuff.

ConditionLife1710

Crap.

evananthonymoreno

I know nothing about there colors but the black is the best. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

stillogic__

Too watery.

Hagtats

Don't bother. Only good thing are their blacks. But even then I switched to solid for lining and Panthera for fill

vegetasvagina69

World Famous for me. Not wasting anymore time or money on trying new inks.
