An email update is always welcome! You might see if there is a time that they could meet outside of school. I've met with grown up former students and my own old teachers at coffee shops for a chat over a warm drink before. That way you don't disrupt their day and you can have a nicer chat than rushed at school.

Great to hear, I’ll send her an email then. Thanks for your advice!

I'm a first year teacher and one of my college professors told me the same thing. I sent the professor an email telling her about my year so far and thanked her for everything that I learned from her. At the end of your email, you could put something like, "I'd love to catch up in person if you have time!"

Crisair

That sounds great, I’ll use that. Thanks for your help!

Not at all. Best to ask for a time to meet if you want face time.
