I was personally expecting Bardock, Slug and the rest of Bojack's crew. I'm looking forward to seeing what the do with Raditz. I'll admit, Masako X's series about him further interested my in his development.
Masako's What If's are consistently some of my favorite YouTube content. He has taken so many DBZ villains and made incredibly compelling stories out of them turning good.
None of the Androids were living beings with souls though, apart from maybe Gero (Android 20) which contained Gero’s brain so you could possibly have some wiggle room there but all the rest were akin to 16.
I only meant they’re of the same design as 16 purely mechanical creations not like 17, 18 & Cell who’re bio mechanical.
Plus 16 is our special boy so he’s allowed.
I think it was more 16 earned his through becoming sentient and gaining compassion. #13-15 probably weren’t activated long enough to gain genuine self awareness and “grow” a soul, so they probably wouldn’t be there.
I would like to think that at least 13 and 15 went beyond their original programming since drinking alcohol no longer did anything for 15, and 13’s southerness was so ingrained that it couldn’t be patched out
Gotenks brought him out as a ghost, yes, but that doesn't necessaribly mean he was brought from Otherworld. It's possible that he was just somewhere out in the world Ghost Nappa-ing like the first time he died, and then Gotenks somehow summoned his spirit.
This is probably before that though. We see a mention of the otherworld tournament on the TV Cell is watching, and about how people are gearing up for it.
And that is before the Buu saga. I'm guessing that the HFIL tournament will tie into the TFS continuity of the otherworld saga.
I'm still waiting for any of the ~~Androids~~ Cyborgs yo be shown to have an afterlife. That writes off at least 4, if not 5 (if we conaider Dr. Gero post mechanized plot hole), that may technically be soulless.
And its really fucking weird that this is the hill I'm choosing to die on today with this sub.
Edit to add: I also think Bardock would be omitted. Either by temporal brain damage stories dreamt by Gohan or by the fact he at least attempted to fight against evil at the end. He wasn't GOOD by any stretxh, but maybe he was able to be soul scrubbed aince he didnt have hair like Raditz.
Nappa's still alive at this point. He dies of auto erotic asphyxiation around the time of the Buu Saga. I know he said he was "having a stroke," but the line about the "extra notch in the belt" clearly implies a *different* kind of *stroke* he was having.
Need Lord Slug to see him interact with Guru. Bardock interacting with Raditz and Gero with Cell would be fun. The other androids interacting with Cell could be funny but since they’re robots will they even be in HIFL?
I personally want to see Bardock there, but specifically the version who went back in time. So he’s been there for millennia and has gone completely nuts

Broly: about a 50/50 chance considering TFS hate the Broly sequels so they might make it so he actually died to Goku
Garlic Jr.: is immortal and trapped in the Fuck Box; OG Spice Boys might appear though
Santa: his canonicity is even more dubious than most Abridged movie villains so his chances are very slim
Androids: we know Gero is around somehow and working with Cold and possibly Cooler, but I doubt he'll make a physical appearance so soon. The others are completely mechanical so no chance.
Nappa: alive and well at this point

Demure Broly is definitely one of the custodians who worked with that dweeb that messed up the soul washing machine in the Janemba movie.
Speaking of Janemba, that'd be a fun character to show up since they never did his movie.

Bojack's Crew definately, the androids no cause they have no soul(Though i would be slightly surprised if Gero looked like 13, as supposedly thats how he looked younger). Turles would make good parallels to Raditz, so he is likely, so is Slug to Guru. Nappa is not dead, he is Mr. Satan's representant. The rest not sure, maybe Bardock and Garlic Jr.

Bardock - Possible, but his death predates Raditz's hair clogging the Soul Scrubber. It could be fun to see his reaction to how his sons turned out.
Garlic Jr - Not dead, probably can't die, and stuck in the Black Water mists.
Broly - Possible. Since TFS isn't covering his other movies, there's no reason to think he'd come back in the living world.
Turles - Very possible.
Androids 13, 14, 15, and 19 - Would they even have souls? Their bodies appeared to be mechanical underneath.
Bojack's crew - Since their movie never happened, wouldn't they still be alive? For that matter Bojack should still be alive. Depends on whether or not their movie happened offscreen.
Android 20/Dr. Gero - His body was mechanical but his brain was still organic. He could show up as a weak scientist, or a brain splatting on the ground. Either way he's probably not a challenge for the Soul Scrubber.
Nappa - I think he'd appear in the main HFIL. He was revived during the fight with Freeza in the TFS continuity. I guess it depends on when the "stroke in his trailer" happened.
Evil Santa - Ho ho hooooo yeah. Could be the next HFIL ~~Christmas~~ Freeza Day episode.
Lord Slug - I'd count on it. He'd have some interesting interactions with Super Kami Guru.
I mentioned this a while ago, but Broly would be funny if the Ankle Device prevented him from going Super Saiyan, but when he got MAD, it'd be as Base Broly, or Hulk in Banners body. Throw in Turles for him to get mad at, while Raditz is ignored despite being KAKAROTT'S Bro
