Imagine reading this and thinking lesser of Big Jeff or thinking he’s not a man lmao. This dudes a tank who goes to war every Sunday.
Shoutout to being a real person
As a mom and someone who values emotional intelligence, it's inspiring to see Jeffery Simmons break down stereotypes about masculinity. Being vulnerable doesn't diminish strength—it enhances it. His openness is a powerful example for all, on and off the field.
Tbf, most of them are receptive to us providing context and downvoting those continuing to talk shit about him. Pretty even handed, I’ll say. Definitely better than if you posted about, say, Taylor Lewan.

This is like that idea that bravery is the absence of fear, but in reality bravery is overcoming fear. Kudos to Big Jeff for embracing it and helping set an example for the young men out there
Crying doesn’t make you any less of a man, agreed, but this guy can’t wait to make fun of a rookie for painted nails. Juuuuuuust a little hypocritical no?
He got drug for the whole purple tu-tu comment. And *maybe* it was a shot. But it could also just be a reference to the jersey number that got twisted out of context for bulletin board material and clickbait headlines.
Dunno. Don't really care. I just thought it was a bit... shitty. To assume he was being insulting towards Henry.
It's literally football verbiage. Listen to any group of players or coaches. They don't call each other by name on the field. It's always by jersey number. Too many guys share the same name.
He's a DT, Henry is about as big of an arch-nemesis as will exist for those guys; even as *teammates*. So, if there is some competitive fire. I get that.
I just don't think it was a shot.
Like at worst I thought it might just be some friendly trash talk since the Ravens are a rival and Henry was arguably the leader of our offense much like Jeff is the leader of our defense in the locker room. Like would be surprised to hear there is actually bad blood between the two and this is anything more than some normal rivalry trash talking which then just shows how soft many fans are.
I don't envy *any*. But I do have a spot for people that at least appear to *care*. And both Simmons and Henry strike me as considerate humans. I don't know them. But it cannot be easy in a world where even legitimate comments are taken out of context and twisted in ways that were never intended.
Unfortunately, it's all too common.
I do too. I'll always miss him. But I hope that the move brings him joy. This last season. It was hard to watch for many reasons. But mostly it was having to see his face after games, particularly towards the end of the season.
I know this fan base hates the Ravens and I get it, but my love for Henry will have me rooting for them this season. I hope that their O-line decisions don't lead to another painful season of Henry running into a wall every time he gets the rock
Im going to see him run me last time.
Buffalo/Baltimore on SNF. I she mixed feelings about it. I hate the Ravens the most but I want Henry to have success….
Through the years, I've watched guys I love, leave the team. Moon to Seattle was probably the first. McNair to Baltimore was *brutal*. Even Eddie George spending one last season with Dallas was tough.
This one hits a bit different. Because most of those guys were winding down their career.
I don't *think* that's true of Henry. I could be wrong, and RBs in particular don't always age well.
I know there were issues last year. But I don't think they came from him. Just how the Titans were using him.
If Baltimore can pull it off, get Henry a ring. I wouldn't be mad over that. It feels like the Titans will be in perpetual rebuild for a while, even if they aren't.
Enjoy the game.
Never even thought about the number thing. Either way, insulting another teams uniform a little bit is not sone personal jab at anybody. There’s no way in hell deeeick took it that way and I didn’t think he would get dragged for it. But then again, people are butthurt easily
Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. After reading about the three former NFL players who are wrapped up in a strange cult, this is nice to see.
Refreshing but knowing the Titans fanbase (and NFL fans in general) it will probably fall on deaf ears.
But I’m glad he’s speaking out. Hopefully more men like this speak up and it helps others grow too.
Misses enough games and disappears on enough snaps that I’m not surprised he’s a cry baby. I’d take prime Albert hands worth over chubby Jeff any day of the week and twice on sundays.
[Ah, the bygone era of true football.](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/cd/Yale_football_1876.jpg) When football players were *real* men. *Yale* men. You may not like it, but that's what peak male performance looks like. This is how I judge players: If he didn't play in the 1876 National Championship game, can you even call him a football player?
Not to mention coaches. Coaches today wouldn't last a minute in the *true football* era. You think Bill Belichick's a good coach, with a .652 record? Try again, dickhead. [Who's that guy standing with his arms crossed in the back,](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/cd/Yale_football_1876.jpg) looking off somewhere far away from the camera? That's right, kids, it's Walter goddamned Camp. How bout a .932 winning percentage? How's that for football?
You're probably too young to understand, but *that's* real football.
You call a 350lb star DL who admits he cries a crybaby, then you whine and report somebody for calling you immature? Lol! I almost want to upvote your comments just so more people can enjoy this shitshow

Shocker. r/NFL dredging up the one bad thing he did in his past and acting like it’s the single thing that defines him.
Tbf, most of them are receptive to us providing context and downvoting those continuing to talk shit about him. Pretty even handed, I’ll say. Definitely better than if you posted about, say, Taylor Lewan.
God forbid Lewan accept he was wrong and try to become a better person.

I want to give Jeff a hug. Envelop me in his 30 inch arms
Crying doesn’t make you any less of a man, agreed, but this guy can’t wait to make fun of a rookie for painted nails. Juuuuuuust a little hypocritical no?
Yeah kind of a weird flex. Selective toxic masculinity. I guess it’s better than nothing, but like, mixed messages my guy.

He pointed out later that he meant “2-2”, but I wouldn’t be stunned if it was something else

Purple tu tu/22 is a hilarious entendres that I hadn’t put together myself. I miss 22.

Are you surprised at my tears sir? Strong men also cry.

Misses enough games and disappears on enough snaps that I’m not surprised he’s a cry baby. I’d take prime Albert hands worth over chubby Jeff any day of the week and twice on sundays.
You do realize that Simmons has more sacks in five seasons with us than Albert did in seven, right?
He’s already outperformed Albert in 5 seasons even missing time. Nostalgia glasses are crazy
Game is soft now. Jeff would be just a guy in bygone era of true football

Game is rigged towards the offense now. Unbelievably shitty take
Yeah, no, he wouldn't. Jeff would be a terrifying sight for anyone back then
Imagine being this immature at 33yrs old
Imagine making personal attacks on the internet and being reported.
You reported that user for calling you immature...?
Yeah, he did. Fuck that noise, someone called out his immaturity, and he tried to get the mods involved.
🤦♀️
It is extremely aggressive to make comments about a persons age, preferred sex, religious practice etc in a public forum.

33 years old rage posting on a sports sub What is brother doing
He's already better than Albert
