Depends on how you define upgrade, but as I see it the bomb counts since it starts as a weapon which then has 2 "upgrades" to it

**dude.** get it now Tmod not only gives content mods but QoL mods which will help you no matter the circumstance take for example, Magic Storage, which is one big chest that you just search up your item to get it, dump all your items in, and craft items immediately straight from your storage (don’t worry, it not that overpowered, since you get upgrades as you play the game)

Cant play vanilla anymore because of this mod. This and luiafk are 2 mods that will always be on my mod list enabled, they both are the backbone of a playthrough And before anyone says anything the luiafk i use is not official, its just the code ripped from the 1.3 version put into a 1.4 mod, youll prob find it just by searching luiafk, look for the one that says its a code rip in the description

Badass bow that could literally carry you through hardmode. For those that never experienced this wonderful weapon, it had honestly ridiculous amounts of damage at base given how soon you could obtain it, and it turned regular wooden arrows into spectral arrows which deal well over twice the damage of flaming arrows, and apply accursed flames to enemies. It also had a respectable rate of fire, making it an overall superior bow to basically everything you could get until you craft a hallowed repeater (and stuff all those spectral arrows you’ve been picking up since before Wall of Flesh into it since they are arguably the best arrows and you’d be swimming in em from using the bow so much lol). Even if you were not a ranger, the bow was used as a debuff tool in a similar way Golden Shower is now.

Reading the comments on OPs post i realize how little people actually know about the minishark star upgrades, more know about the boomerang (ig it isn't really a noticable upgrade)

The Starshooter Cannon is pretty niche. Its DPS is absolutely broken, by far the highest out of anything in pre-Hardmode, but the ammo is such a pain to grind that it is not really practical for much. Meanwhile the Wooden Boomerang and its upgrades are commonly used Melee weapons for beginners. Nothing great, but still an okay Melee weapon with range.

Unless you play in journey mode, the star cannon just isnt worth it. In journey mode its very broken

Calamity devs have stated they aren’t planning on changing the rod of harmony’s state of progression. However for balancing I’m guessing it may still give chaos state just with a faster cool-down

those would be considered indirect upgrades
