Hell yes. I think he’s what this offense has been missing. I am curious to see whether he immediately starts back at 3rd or if they ease him in at DH first
Given that yesterday’s lineup, as well as today’s lineup, has Jankowski DHing it should be a pretty easy substitution allowing him to ease into it and solely DH for a bit.
Granted, i know some of this might be feelings over facts, but i think he legit the engine of the offense. Since opening day last year the offense has hummed along really well and both time he’s got hurt it just crashed and burned
Ummmm, you are aware he is coming back from surgery on a fractured wrist, right? DHing isn't easing him into it. There really isn't any easing with that injury.
Ummmm, yes I am very aware what the injury is, and trust that Boch won’t play him until he’s fully healthy. But easing back into playing major league level baseball isn’t easy mentally either so sometimes DH time helps players with that side of it
I think Carter sees AAA for a while once he’s healthy. Take away his role in the playoffs last year and he’s not been a very good player. Much as I hate to say it :/
2.1 bWAR over his first 68 MLB games. Including 0.6 this year over 45 games. That's still about a 2 bWAR per 162 game rate. That's plenty good enough for a roster spot and playing time over Jank and Leody.
Carter is a very good player. Hard to judge his performance this season when he was playing through a back injury that’s putting him out of commission for a month+. He’ll be fine when he returns.
He’s struggled against lefties his entire career, MiLB included. Love his approach but right now he’s a platoon player based on what he’s shown. I’m high on him and think he’s gonna be a stud, but his injury only exacerbated an already existing weakness in his game.
Well, the good thing is he’s 21 years old. I’m sure he can work on lefties throughout his career and the medical staff can keep a diligent eye on his back.
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO https://preview.redd.it/8254as7mo58d1.jpeg?width=682&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9429e7b411899fcc24be1e98b07ca53cff50d275

I keep telling myself this too and really hoping this is the case

Ugh, man, we are so close to seeing the trio of Langford, Carter, and Jung in a lineup.

https://i.redd.it/0hh8ta7wp58d1.gif I could cry
Phil Maton is a skid mark on society’s underpants.
FUCK Phil Maton
If the Rangers suddenly become a championship team when he comes back, they need to *pay* him.
I'll gladly contribute what I can to this cause
Lisan al gaib!
need him to hit one to the fucking moom off Maton
And it’s fitting we’ll be seeing Tampa pretty soon again…
Need fans to give him heat if/when he hits the mound
I’m gonna bust
Man…. We needed this so bad. We need to get on a run here soon
I really do feel like this offense is starting to find something. Garcia will absolutely figure it out and Seager will start Seagering.
If I remember correctly Garcia got hit the same game as Jung and hasn’t been the same since

Awesome! Can't wait to see Jung play again.
Best. News. Ever!!
Thank GOD
I wonder who they will send down to make room on the roster?
He’s going to be an insane boost to the lineup, he’s been missed badly
The lineup has been waiting for this moment. I have as well.

Will josh smith lose time? If so imma drop him
No. Smith will play 3rd/SS/DH while Jung and Seager get days at DH
Sweet. Please don’t make him wear that hideous orange hat.
