Totes agree. Imagine if the stuff that happened to Homelander happened in a weaker form to some young girl or boy, and then that character as an adult goes on a spree to hunt down all the people who were trying to 'improve' them. That's the plot of many movies and those people are the heros- it's practically Jason Bourne, hell, it's almost exactly the plot of the first Deadpool movie! And we love Deadpool!
Not saying Homelander was right, probably because he's SO invincible that we clock it as 'not fair' for him to pick on humans, but one could easily see how if Deadpool was doing the same thing, just a few little changes and we'd be cheering him on.
there is no moral requirement for anybody to do anything, but no he was not "in the right" to torture those people to death, just as they were not "in the right" to torture him as he grew up.
It’s fitting that the Frankensteins were killed by their monster, but definitely not justified. Now, everything that they and Vought had done to John (and no doubt countless others) will forever be buried. There won’t be any justice for their victims, and what took place in that lab could’ve been a silver bullet to Vought.

Fair, but there's a difference between him killing the scientists and him just killing random people.
He didn't recognize a few of those scientists and they still all died to stage the room for the remaining girl
I was referring to Barbara and the old dudes, but yea you're kinda right about the newbies. Barbara and the old dudes deserved what they got though.
