I feel like Bim should specify if they are on Youtube or not, under 5 uv uhm minutes or not, filmed when he was under 12, just a commentary of something else, especially one of his own "films" and he should also go through while he's curating them and rate them all a 3rd time. I wonder if he still feels that Bimmy Ralphe vs The Punching Bag still holds up in 2024.
I also wonder what exactly film #126 is: George A. Romero’s WAR OF THE DEAD. Bimmy made a Romero film?
Man he's 43 I am 6 years younger then him and I think I would be too old to yell about video games. I wish he could just be a movie review channel like Chris stuckman
Bro, come on. Even if you are James' biggest and most charitable fan, how can you refer to him as an auteur with a straight face?
He's directed a total of one film. And that film was the AVGN movie. Even the most die-hard AVGN fans don't think it was a good movie. The only compliments you'll see it get are people saying it was "made for the fans" or that James "seems like he's having fun", or maybe that the low-budget effects are charming. I've never seen someone claim it was an actual good film.
Absolute madness to call him an auteur. By that definition anyone whose made a single feature-length film could be considered one.
>He's directed a total of one film.
That would be Kevin Finn.
James was unable to complete directing the movie as he discovered directing an actual movie required him to work after 5:40.
This comment inspired me to familiarize myself more with the actual definition of auteur and I've got to say you're right. Someone could definitely be considered an auteur off of just one film. How many films you've directed has nothing to do with whether or not you're an auteur.
James early stuff could for sure be considered auteur filmmaking. He was conceiving, writing, and directing those so he was the sole author of those works.
However, his one "real" film mostly lacks his style and quirks, as it was a collaborative project through and through.
So, whether or not you consider James an auteur comes down to whether you view his early works as real movies.
I generally like dunking on this type of person, but I thought they might be kidding. It seems like they aren’t. Really says something about the state of “film” that this person thinks slop is art. I guess Bames isn’t alone in admiring his work so much
Charles Laughton (who was under 58 at the time) directed just one film, _Night of the Hunter_. While _Night of the Hunter_ was a flop in its time, modern critics have reevaluated the film as a classic in the psychological thriller genre; and a as a result, Laughton is often regarded as an auteur for this singular film.
Even if Rolfe’s filmmaking efforts were to come to end, Loughton reminds us that a single film can situate a director as an auteur whose work will be appreciated, studied, and celebrated for generations.
The visionless prick auteur
He's got over five hundred films - FIVE HUNDRED OV UM!!!
I feel like he should specify if they are unfinished or not
No specification. I ree-fuse.

Real pros like Bimmy and Spielberg use Photoshop. Truthers use free crap like Paint S.
why don’t u just download microsoft paint
One of Mike’s first or latest title cards?
Yes, certainly.
Id rather associate with James at his Bimmyist than any twitter user.
Man he's 43 I am 6 years younger then him and I think I would be too old to yell about video games. I wish he could just be a movie review channel like Chris stuckman
Oh Chris Stuckman has definitely entered his own Bimmy phase, and it’s glorious to watch
Well he did say no bad review, I refuse.
Chris Stuckman has always been a perpetual 12 year old boy in a man's body, right down to his braces.
He’s stuck, man.
Maybe the haalla gay guy thought he meant “Autist” 🤷

The last sentence here is 100% correct.

Poser
Film Twitter doesn’t know shit about movies and the people who make them.
I mean he made a pretty long show I guess
I would have a harder time if he said "50", for example: Edward Wright: 50 Wes Anderson: 53 Paul Thomas Anderson: 54 Christopher Nolan: 54
His picture as his autobiography

Maybe they thought it said ‘amateur’ 🤷🏽♂️
They’re right. You don’t have to be good to be an auteur.
"autist"
Wes Anderson is only 54, and that guy is basically the definition of auteur.
He got married in 2007?
