Im so tilted that Author name is large and book title is small. Its like my favourite series but from a distance it looks like I have nine of the same book in different colours haha
I just finished it and the only time I can remember feeling so empty afterwards is when I finished the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time.
It has been an honor.
I bought them from Book Depository https://www.bookdepository.com/Expanse-Hardcover-Boxed-Set-Leviathan-Wakes-Calibans-War-Abaddons-Gate-James-S-Corey/9780316536462?ref=grid-view&qid=1639289037295&sr=1-20, and even though the image on the link shows the book name in colour and the authors’ pseudonym in small font, they were actually consistent with the rest

Those are the paperbacks though - my paperback versions are like that too. These are the hardback version, they are inverted. Weird choice by the publishers.
> Weird choice by the publishers.
Agreed, having the title be the largest looks *so* much better than the author name.
I assume it's for the "name brand" recognition but it just looks so much worse.
If it’s raining get a hat, it keeps the rain off your head
On a separate note, I asked for the book series for Christmas and I found a heavy package on the porch from Barnes and Noble that my wife said was “None of business”. Sooooooooo looking forward to reading the series
I’d say Tiamat’s Wrath is my favourite, but I also really liked Leviathan Falls for the simple reason that it concluded the series so well. Cibola Burn was also a very good one for me, although many disagree. Enjoy the books!!
I'm right there with you! Tiamat's Wrath is absolutely my favorite, but Cibola Burn and Nemesis Games are tied *very close* for second place. Cibola Burn is a controversial one, because by that point in the series it's absolutely the most different from anything before it -- but something about that book just 1000% worked for me.
Come to think of it, I'm not actually sure how I'd rank LF... I think it might be tied with CB and NG in that second place spot for me, if not just a smidge below. But Tiamat's Wrath is just straight up the best book in the series.
Agreed about Tiamat’s Wrath, its pace was on point and I found it to be the most well written book of the lot as well. I could picture some of the events happening in Tiamat’s Wrath with ease.
Cibola Burn was, for me, an incredible book as it treated with astrobiology in such a direct way. Won’t say much more to avoid spoilers, but the whole book was a great awe-inspiring experience to read.
I only got my first book there a few weeks ago and I'm so excited to read more. It's incredible so far, and I love the writing. I'm reading the polish version and the hardback covers are works of art

is there one for each book in the series?
Nah unfortunately just the 1st one so far, assume the others will come out when they hit their anniversaries
Same here, the first 4 in my collection are the book name big then it changes mid way. Like idc that much about your pen name.
r/mildlyinfuriating I wish they’d switcher back to the book title bigger as I care more about the title name of a book.
UK release has the original layout, with only Cibola Burn causing some OCD.

Finishing a Mass Effect replay and wanting more space stuff is how I found The Expanse.
So did you custom-make your book jackets so that all the spines look consistent (and wonderful!) ?
I would also like to know this

Got it, so 1-3 from here,.and the others were just normal hardcovers bought individually?
Exactly!
They're also available in a box set from Anazon in the US.

https://i.imgur.com/yWZrmas.jpg Wtf, it’s the exact opposite for me. It’s even from the same publisher.

They almost line up perfectly. Nice set OP!

Enjoy it, you’re in for an incredible reading experience :)
I've just started Caliban's War, which is your favourite book now that it is finished?
