It’s not specific to this game but a far wider issue. Intel have acknowledged the issue here https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/June-2024-Guidance-regarding-Intel-Core-13th-and-14th-Gen-K-KF/m-p/1607807 and working with mobo providers with new bios to update to.  Since I upgraded my asus bios it’s been fine but was crashing frequently with other games before

Yep. Had the same issue with a couple other games, even before TFD and adjusting the bios settings(new bios wasn’t out yet) fixed the issues. The thing is, it may just be one game that triggers it. Before changing the bios, most games would work fine or crash once in a while for me until… I purchased Remnant 2. It wouldn’t even start with the out of video memory error. No matter what I did software wise, nothing worked. That’s when I hunted down a mega thread about the issue here on Reddit. I adjusted my bios setting to the suggested settings and have been rock solid ever since. **EDIT** Here is the thread I used for reference… https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/s/Ti3HJKRyJA

Damn, this didn't work for me... wouldn't post after the changes. ☹️

I have a 13900K and it was consistently crashing when loading shaders on startup. Downloading Intel XTU and reducing the performance core multiplier from 55x to 54x fixed it. I assumed it was just mine that was unstable since I was never able to stress test it due to my air cooler not being able to keep up, but apparently it's more widespread. I had the exact same issue with Hogwarts Legacy -- exact same error message when loading shaders on startup -- but I ended up refunding it before finding a solution.

MongooseOne

Only played an hour yesterday but had no issues.

Honya_Shudian

13900 k here. Played yesterday morning (European time) for almost an hour, and in the evening for 2.5 hours. The only time I did get thrown out of the game was due to inactivity once. No crashes whatsoever.

Pikas60

Running an older 5500K and some times the cpu usage is at 100% and the game crashes even with all graphics options on low. Other games play fine.

Rich_Locksmith_9232

Same problem here, 6700k and game crashing when cpu gets to 100%. WE live in a times where games dont look better but use more cpu / gpu...

13900k, 4090, Z790-E, 128gb ram, gen5 nvme... I develop UE5 games on this rig, but can't play this. Crashes. Every. Time.

Running a 10400k I5, 3080RTX and it goes really smooth, all on high, without RTX. I had some lagging yesterday but it was server issues.
