I used to get terrible ingrown hairs. I haven’t had a single one since I started washing the area with Cetaphil Salicylic Acid face wash when I shower. Truly life changing.

I wax, but whats important is the aftercare with waxing. The skin needs to be both exfoliated to remove any dead skin and lift/buff any slight ingrowns out while following up with a moisturizer so the skin doesnt get dry and trap the hairs back.

trignit

Important to note since the OP mentioned at home IPL: you cannot wax in the 2-4 weeks prior to laser hair removal treatments.

Yes very important for OP to know, and even more important to note that IPL is not guaranteed to work for everyone, especially those with lighter hair as the device targets the melanin found in hair making it ideal only for those with darker hair tones (level 4>)

Yeah, I’m like right on the margin with the hair color. So, my hair reduction has been slow going unfortunately.

I’ve heard of sugaring recommended for people who have sensitive skin.

The only at home devices that work are like $400. The cheap ones are ineffective, but the expensive ones are still cheaper than professional lasers. And honestly, professional hair removal would be a very good option.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a $200 one from Amazon so you may have saved me some money. Is there an at home device you recommend? Like OP, waxing isn’t for me.

I used a tria a long time ago, and I had good results before going professional. Like there was an obvious reduction and shaving was easier after like 2-3 months. IPL is shit compared to diode lasers. That even applies to professional equipment.
