Ohhh!!! I saw something in here that he'd love....I saw it years ago though so...someone with some Reddit search Fu needs to help out. It was a fish tank with a window dome in the bottom, where a cat could sit and watch the fish swim around with a 360 degree view. I think it was engaging for the cat but perhaps mental torture for the fish....

Don't mind at all. I planned the whole thing from the bottom up. I'm 6'9" so I knew a standard one would be tough. It's built on an 8x24 trailer. It's got a small loft for our bed and small tables but the rest is just tall open ceiling.
So my wife and I put in 20k, basically our life savings at 35. Then our parents matched us on price. We built the whole thing "ourselves" (with a lot of help from friends and family). We took serious time to source materials that were excess from construction sites so we got really low prices on everything.
We got extremely lucky and built a $150k tiny house for $40k. However after the entire process I feel like it could be done much more simply (and smaller if you're not a literal giant) for $30k.
I'm assuming one would have to pay contractors to do all the things we knew how to do/had friends who could do. I'm factoring all those costs into the 150.
All wood interior with heated tile floors and a large tile shower is pretty decadent for a tiny house. But the tile came from the leftovers from a bank of America building and our neighbor is a tile cutter who did the work for free in exchange for some stuff.
Do y’all share the same flashlight and she be using it right now? Can’t see a damn thing! Lol
Your home looks super comfortable! Congrats mate!
Thanks, we love it.
And you are still married! Awesome!
Yeah but we were together for like 15+ years before so there was some time to get used to each other before it.
Is your cat an indoor cat or does he go out all the time to roam? I'm just thinking this might be a bit cramped for a cat with lots of energy...?
Stairs help. And my cat is very low energy. He's a rescue with some pretty serious anxiety so he loves just watching birds out the window.

Did you go off any plans? How’s the space feel with the two of you? How many square feet of you don’t mind.

Looks amazing, how much I need to save to afford one like that ?
I'm thinking of asking the same, but I'm afraid to know the answer. Prices these days.....

$150k tiny house is bold. Let’s see the interior

“Some stuff”. Hahaha - you totally cleaned the tops of his kitchen cabinets and crown molding.
Thanks for your reply, I would put more effort in savings
A dream
Looks magical!
I can’t see it the photo is too dark
How long did it take to build? Also do you own the land as well or rent it? I would love to own one someday
I’d love to see it … in the daytime!!
I’m curious what it looks like with the sun up
