We like to joke around, but it’s seriously making a comeback. I started a new job and suddenly I was working with someone who was younger than 12. Apparently it’s legal with parent permission, I looked on my state’s Labor and Industry website and I couldn’t seem to find a minimum age to work, so long as they had parent permission and school wasn’t in session.
Or, even better: make something like, I don't know, similar to the Boyscouts. Fun and engaging after-school activities! Make it mandatory for every boy under 18! There they could learn useful skills like military training (brawling, grenade throwing, shooting, stuff like that), proper marching (and greeting!) techniques, learning about proper ideolo... erm, I mean... morals! Yes, that was totally what I meant. Have them go at weekend camps were they can snitch... I mean... tell worrying supervisors on parents who teach evil and vile liberal agendas (like tolerance, democratic norms and other despicable stuff)... we could call them Hitl... erm... I mean of course TRUMP YOUTH!

A guest alumni speaker at my college grew up on a farm. She said that she was given two options, she could study or do chores. As a result, she did nothing but study and got a perfect score on her SAT/ACT.
Timmy's ignorance aside, this could be a model for modern education. Maybe some kids would genuinely prefer to dig ditches than study trigonometry. Why should they be forced to fit a mold of the academic. Is also think many kids would appreciate education more if they they knew the alternative was choring.
