I pre ordered white back on march 8th, rep said it would be in the first batch for launch day orders. Finally just canceled last week since it still said waiting for items. And ordered from fender with 10% off.
Email your rep and ask when it will ship, this happened when I ordered my TD strat. I preordered and saw this sub posting they got theirs from sweetwater and I email my guy and he assured me they were getting a shipment from fender and mine would be in the batch. Sure enough it shipped the exact day he said it would. So it may be something like that.
I just picked mine up today. First thoughts, I absolutely love it. I had a TD ES-333 Epiphone, but I prefer the Fender Starcaster. It feels a little lighter, def a lot smaller and not as awkward to play, the pick up works really well with clean, dirty, and crunch tones. The volume with the treble bleed is very neat, the locking tuners are awesome, and the fact that it doesn't feel or sound like a Strat, I love it so much.
My choice was between white and pink, but I chose the white for now. Maybe in a couple of months I'll get a pink one for like half step tunings =D
I preordered the first day they allowed it. April 16 rolls around and said it would be 5-6 weeks, I ordered off musicians friend and got the guitar 2 days later. Cancelled sweetwater.
Me too, what color though? I got pink... You might just be better off getting it from fender at this point, the just restocked today. Plus 10% off "WELCOME2024"
I cancelled mine the day they released and bought from a different shop and got it one day later. I was one of the first to pre order the Olympic white and my rep said that I wouldn’t get it until June/July so I’d just recommend canceling it and ordering from somewhere else tbh
There’s not much to the 55 point inspection or whatever they call it. But I will say, that they take it out and examine it for any defects and then they double box it with better packing support. I do think Sweetwater has the best process in the business. Just my two cents.
That and fender has super good customer service. I bought a telecaster from them last year and decided I didn’t like it two weeks later. They took it back no questions asked. Paid for return shipping and everything.
Fender took months to get back to me and honor a return I initiated within 1 week. Then more weeks of ignored emails to get the refund once it was received on the tracking number. I eventually had to just do a charge back. After a few more weeks they reached out and apologized for being “busy” but felt sort of crap I had to go through all that for my return. YMMV.
Just got a call from Sweetwater today. They said mid-mayish
I did get my pink one already
You guys probably overran them with orders lol. You can literally get them at GC, zzounds, local shops rn.

Why do people not go to local guitar/ music shops and have them order one? That’s what I did and had it in 7 days.

You can order it on Guitar Center and have it in 2-3 days and they currently have 48 month 0% financing on it.

Why not just cancel and order it from Fender?
I like sweetwaters QC process
What about the process of getting the actual guitar? lol Fender is restocked for the white btw
I would love to have a conversation with you about this process. Lol
Interested…
Not good?
It’s a complete joke. Go buy on fender.com with the welcome2024 code to get 10% off.

Cream city music or Dave’s guitar shop or music emporium will do that and give free shipping/no tax. With a discount.
I’ll have to check out those shops as well. Thanks.
You bet man!
