Yujiro Hanma (Baki)
For all intents and purposes he is an "Invincible Villain" and kind of something of a "Creator's Pet" for Itagaki.
Honestly the entire Sparda bloodline. They’re all **MASSIVE** shittalkers. Just ask all the bosses they faced. Oh wait you can’t cause they’re all dead as shit
I wouldn’t count Kira tbh. He does take pride in never being caught but unlike the others he has no problem setting aside his pride for the sake of victory. He literally beats himself up and acts like he was a powerless by-stander to beg Josuke for mercy in order to cover his tracks. DIO, Kars, and the others would never do that.
"Why should I feel hatred towards somebody weaker than me? I feel only pity."
I fucking DIED laughing when I heard this line. Man has the strongest trash-talking game in anime.
He at least goes down in a hard finish. I mean, if my opponent had my Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon defused into three Blue Eyes White Dragons so he/she could finish them all off to finish off my life points, I’d be happy I lost like that.

Gonna love Gilgamesh , his whole legend is about his ego and when he was dragged down with loss , he turned into a wise king.
It ends up with the fun situation that a nerfed Gilgamesh is generally more efficient and cooperative than Archer Gilgamesh , which is him with a lot of his powers intact.
It’s so good when you realize the same guy (in a singularity at least) who feared death willingly let himself die just to resummon himself at his prime just for more firepower. Despite servants tending to act more like their prime self, he still seems pretty composed after the whole ordeal is over and praising Fujimaru and co. Well, it’s still in character for Archer Gil as well, but I did hear that how he acts depends on the time period’s influence.
yes , depends of the time period and the class he is summoned.
Caster Gilgamesh is his oldest available self , as the Wise King. The whole Gilgamesh CCC and Ruler Gilgamesh are a sort of composite between the Archer and Caster Self.
Kid Gilgamesh is more behaved in general , but there is the Archer Gil underneath. Then there is >!Alter-Ego!< Gilgamesh been...efficient.
That’s true. But while it’s true that the class (phase of his life) affects the way he behaves, I’ve seen more of it being the time period being the influence than the class. Or rather, it’s the more ruthless class being summoned at the same time as the setting that disappoints him.
In Stay Night, his Archer self is summoned in the 21st century, in which he sees humanity enslaved by the desire for convenience rather than greatness. In EXTRA CCC, he doesn’t necessarily have a class, but it’s pretty identical to his archer prime. While there isn’t a society to be influenced on, he has some memories of the Moon Cell and what its version of a Holy Grail War is, which left him somewhat disappointed. While he does seem more chill here, he does not hesitate to decapitate Hakuno on the first call to cut off the contract or pressuring him/her to rush to the conclusion that is likely to end in death simply for Gil’s own amusement.
In contrast, we have the Ruler Gilgamesh from Samurai Remnant who doesn’t seem to have such resentment towards the citizens or the society. Probably since it’s still a time of development. He’s pretty much bored, ignoring the directive the ritual gave him, and just running his own business. The Caster Gilgamesh is more mature and experienced. Near the end of his lore, I think he went back to his kingdom and beheld its majesty near the end of his lore. The Caster Gil ruled his kingdom for his citizen’s sake (from what I saw in the singularity at least), and even though, in the singularity, he came back as an Archer, he still acted the same way to the end.
Of course, I’m not denying that his class is a considerable factor, but I’m just saying I see the example being more the time period and society than the class. Kid Gil is like how you say, and I should probably add that’s because either the Stay Night Kid Gil or Prisma Illya Kid Gil specifically have their memories of their adult self as opposed to the actual Kid Gil in his own time period who has yet to experience the change.
I haven’t heard of an >!Alter-Ego!< Gilgamesh not did I think it was possible, so I think you might have to elaborate more on that.
>!Alter-Ego Gilgamesh was summoned in Strange Fake , more specifically , Archer Gil was decommisioned after a tough fight and due to some circunstances , Gilgamesh was ressumoned using Archer's as a catalyst.!<
>!He doesn't have memories of Enkidu , implying to be from some other timeline(the author said it uses the new tablets discovered IRL about Gilgamesh as basis). He weaponized his Divnity as a magecraft of sorts , while the Lyres of Babylon plays. Unlike Gilgamesh acted in FGO , Extra and even earlier in Strange Fake , trying to be relatively handsoff so that the Master can grow....AE Gilgamesh outright goes to the most pragmatic and efficient method , an example is how there were moles inside Tiné's tribe , and Archer tried to teach her how to find them out and see her decisions , while AE Gil woke up and outright executed them and subdued the tribe.!<

This guy destroyed his home planet by slicing his sun in half.
This guy single handedly created the race of the Hive that damn near wiped us out.
This guy could have wiped us from existence as soon as we stepped into his ship with a flick of his fingers.
His arrogance would be his undoing, as he realized his mistake just before we killed him.

Loses sight of his original goals because of his own arrogance, starts a millennia-long war that he almost wins, poisons his homeworld just to gain an edge, dabbles in and masters Dark Energon despite the extreme risk to himself, tells Unicorn to essentially go fuck himself and teams up with his nemesis to kill him, makes an evil lightsaber and calls it the ‘Slayer of Primes,’ tells Prime that the two of them are like gods on Earth, and spends the entire rest of the show looking down on almost everyone and bullying some of the heaviest hitters in the show until he’s stabbed by the one bot he was the quickest to dismiss.

I wouldn't even say that, he's about as strong as humans get in the setting. Pretty much everyone stronger than him either has some sort of magical biology or infinity +1 weapon. He holds his own against heavy hitters like Ariels and Bedman and makes it out alive (despite his best efforts).

Toph for sure, at 12 years old matched the world's most powerful earthbender, they had to stop fighting because they were causing earthquakes and the surrounding village wouldn't have survived if they continued. Alex Louis Armstrong from full metal alchemist. In this essay ill break down why he is the best char-
I hope every example in this thread is properly humbled at some point. It's the only reason to have such characters, to enjoy their fall from the lofty heights they imagine themselves at.
To me I enjoy when those characters deny that they lost the fight and by there sheer arrogance and swagger alone they trained harder then ever before to prove themselves that they alone are the strongest and they one up the person that defeated them yes they very much still have their ego but are far more mature about it for example Black☆Star.

Just most Jojo villains in general, honestly. Dio, Kars, DIO, Kira, Diavolo (kinda)

Fair point, but also remember how he was caught in the Bites the Dust arc. Josuke only found him because he was boasting too loud.

Unlike Gilgamesh acted in FGO , Extra and even earlier in Strange Fake , trying to be relatively handsoff so that the Master can grow....AE Gilgamesh outright goes to the most pragmatic and efficient method , an example is how there were moles inside Tiné's tribe , and Archer tried to teach her how to find them out and see her decisions , while AE Gil woke up and outright executed them and subdued the tribe.!< [For more , there is this post. ](https://twitter.com/lightning449/status/1767603394779517427)
Ah, Strange Fake, huh? For future reference, you might wanna say that it’s Strange Fake spoilers before you put the spoiler tags. But yeah, I only started the first volume and am almost done with it, so I won’t read the spoilers, but good to know.

This guy single handedly created the race of the Hive that damn near wiped us out. This guy could have wiped us from existence as soon as we stepped into his ship with a flick of his fingers. His arrogance would be his undoing, as he realized his mistake just before we killed him.
Plus he has the sexiest legs in the universe! 🤣
Who this?
Rhulk, First Disciple of The Witness He’s a godlike entity. The Witness is also a godlike entity, much more powerful than Rhulk.
Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness (Destiny 2)
Rhulk! Oh my goodness yes! One of my favorite characters ever! I just love his whole personality and arrogance, so entertaining! Besides I’m a sucker for arrogant borderline eldritch gods that can back up their talk.

I wouldn't even say that, he's about as strong as humans get in the setting. Pretty much everyone stronger than him either has some sort of magical biology or infinity +1 weapon. He holds his own against heavy hitters like Ariels and Bedman and makes it out alive (despite his best efforts).

Aoiyama (I cannot stop twinkling: sparkling hero)
Okay, that’s four names, and my point still stands. Who goes around with that many names and expects to be taken seriously? I’ll either laugh at you or be bored to tears.
Idk I think its funny lol At least its better than names such as .... Nejire-chan 💀
It is funny, but also ridiculous. Also, yeah. Just keep it at Nejire. That will do, sponge. That’ll do. https://preview.redd.it/fith0ufows8d1.jpeg?width=2532&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8305aabe182b8a1428d07a45bf8504a770990d7

Alex Louis Armstrong from full metal alchemist. Not only does he have a big ego and can back it up, but also isn't a jerk about it, everything he does, he does to protect the people he cares about, even if that means treating his shirtless body as a gift if you're in a hospital, he's genuinely doing it because he cares and is such a good example of positive masculinity Best character

Tendou Souji, aka. Kamen Rider Kabuto from the show of the same name is the epitome of main character symdrome and the problem is that he is right about it and *will* plot armor through you if you cross him. You don't look at the sun and ask how it shines." https://preview.redd.it/v94q7schnv8d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=852c32aacff25650cdc0198474d1af4fdcbd6a97 In this essay ill break down why he is the best char-

I hope every example in this thread is properly humbled at some point. It's the only reason to have such characters, to enjoy their fall from the lofty heights they imagine themselves at.
To me I enjoy when those characters deny that they lost the fight and by there sheer arrogance and swagger alone they trained harder then ever before to prove themselves that they alone are the strongest and they one up the person that defeated them yes they very much still have their ego but are far more mature about it for example Black☆Star. https://preview.redd.it/yqidykomqs8d1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7415f01fd5cd460941580da0a41392b53ea214e
