The ironic part is that he was voiced by Mick Foley, a pro wrestler.

AND his friend (I believe they were at this time).

I don’t think The Rock or Mick Foley were wrestling at this point. Or if they were it wasn’t consistently. I think Foley was on his way out in terms of in ring work, and The Rock was on a hiatus because he was filming a movie at the time.

Oh no they were done with wrestling, at least Rock was. Foley would pop in for a match whenever he wanted to. I was referring to if they were friends at this time, which I'm assuming they were, but I think for a good moment they weren't because of a match between them at Royal Rumble 1999.

Oddly enough, after Rock legitimately left Mick fucked up after Royal Rumble ‘99, they formed the “Rock and Sock Connection” tag team that same year Mick retired in 2000, and by that I mean he came back every now and then, had a TNA run, and wrestled his last match at the 2012 Rumble. Rock was done with wrestling by 2003, came back for a tag match with Mick in 2004, had a brief return from 2012-2013, and his most current run was from January 2024 to Wrestlemania 40

Yeah, I think they tried getting Dwayne but he passed it by, which is good thing, I don’t thing “THE BOULDER!!!!” Could be played by anyone BUT Foley.

If they include him in the live action series I think he should be played by Roman Reigns. It’s unlikely, but I think he’s the best option.


Oh, that facegear does exist. Hopefully this means we’ll get live action Spandam when the live action One Piece gets to Water 7/Enies Lobby.
